Very kind staff and willing to answer questions to the best of their ability. Just got a new wheelchair through them and they did a fantastic job on making sure I had what I needed.

We had a great experience with these people. The technician Troy was very professional answered all our questions and helped us build the correct chair for our daughters disability. Would definitely recommend and also plan on working with them again.

You will not get the customer service you would expect, especially with medical supply store. Do not expect any respect- kindness, knowledge, insurance doesn't matter. Insurance has been helping me deal with people there for several months. Seemed good the first day I walked in and I'm surprised how bad it actually is there. Something that should've been ready after a few months has taken over a year and still don't have the whole thing. Doctors and insurance have been great. These people are not.

I don’t usually post reviews but I felt it wasImportant to mention the experience I had w purchasing a scooter, repairs and customer service.Evan was particularly patient in helping medecide on the scooter that was right formy husband. No pressure in taking my time w the purchase and very informative. When we had problems w the batteries he went way beyond our expectations whenthe tech for Pride was not able to get batteries to us in a timely fashion. We went thru the process that was required w our purchase and when we contacted Evan about the service. He took charge and communicated w Pride and their technician. When it was evident new batteries werenot going to gotten and installed in a timely fashion, Evan came to the rescue. He recommended equivalent batteries.I could not go out and make the purchase so he volunteered and picked up the batteries for us and drove outthat evening and installed the batteries. When it comes time for a second purchaseI would return w my business.I definitely recommend Independent Mobility.Teresa Kinney

I have been working with Troy & Anna for several months now. Anna is very responsive and helpful. Troy is nothing short of a great person. He always walks in with a smile, answers all of my questions, does great follow up, and is always on time. You will be in good hands working with these two. The company overall is easy to work with and I recommend them to anyone.

Wish I could give a -5. Company called to set up repair for daughter's powerchair. Was told they needed it for the day. They came and picked it up on Wednesday morning. Chair was not back Wednesday night. So I called Thursday morning at 8:30am asking where it was. Was told it was still being worked on. I then asked for a rental since my daughter is bedridden and has no way around without this chair. I was told no rentals and they would call back later. By 2:00pm still no phone call back so I called and talk to a different lady told her it needs to be back by end of day since we are leaving by 8:00am Friday to go out of town. Lady stated she would talk to the first lady and let her know. No call till 4pm from lady one stating can't get it back today and the chair is still not fixed and that they were never told that it needed to be back by any certain day. I said "it needs to be home today and i want to talk to store manager." She put me on hold to get manager and she came back on phone asking what time we were leaving in the morning and i told her the time. She put me on hold and then said someone will come tonight after hours to drop it off unfixed. The manager never even came to the phone. That's pretty sad. This is not the first time we have had issues with this company. They like to sell products they no zero about.

We purchased a new scooter and the owner Evan was more than helpful, zero pressure. We got it home and noticed there was a spare key missing he apologized and offered to send us one , we had to be in town the following week we said we would just pick it up at the store. We are very pleased with our purchase!

Concern #1 Last March I bought a Golden Literider Scooter from Evon (sp?) at IMP, a seemingly helpful, friendly guy. Got it home and discovered the seat was difficult to operate. Reported it to Evon who said a tech would come to my home the next week, saying they would call before they came. No call. Tech arrived few days later and (later) claimed he rang the doorbell. No ring. Tech opened the screen door and started to let himself in. Hearing the door opening and somewhat startled, I met him at the door and said, "Can I help you?" He said, "I'm here for the scooter." No name. No IDing "I'm from Mobility." Just a sullen face who looked like he'd rather have been someplace else. Showed him the chair, he sat in it, activated it, and said, "So what's the problem?" Long face. I said, "It grates when you move between positions." He moved it around several positions, not experiencing the grating, more long face and repeated, "So what's the problem?" Frustrated, I loudly repeated, "It grates!" The sullen tech got off the chair and proclaimed, "I don't have to take that! And left.Later that day, Evon and I went 8 rounds about tech training and courtesy protocol. He insisted there was no tech training needed, and unless the tech could duplicate the problem, there was nothing more he could do. I accepted the seat's a little rough, and we moved on.Concern # 2 In October, I noticed the batteries on my scooter weren't holding a charge, and brought it to IMP for a check. They said the batteries were marginal, and they contacted Golden, who authorized replacements. At that time, I requested that they make sure they were 22ah batteries as that's what the scooter came with. When they supposedly came in a couple of weeks later, I dropped my old battery pack off, and again asked the tech if he was putting in 22ah batteries? He said, "Whatever Golden sent us. You want to see them?" I said, "No, I trust you," and 30 minutes later paid $36 something for labor because "labor isn't covered."When I got home and looked at the repair order it showed they'd used two18ah batteries instead 22's. I called Evon who was evasive and argumentative about it, saying, "Not everybody knows about batteries, there's not that much difference between them, we put in whatever they sent us." I expressed unhappiness at the situation, hung up and thought so long IMP, and that experience led me to shop elsewhere for mobility equipment.I called Golden a few days ago to check on a warranty on another literider I'd recently purchased (correct, not from IMP), and asked them about the batteries that IMP put in about a month ago. Melody at Golden said 22ah batteries should have been installed, adding they didn't stock 18ah batteries.Concern #3 Evon called yesterday, very angry, to inform me he got a call from Golden about the battery situation. The short version of his rant: you don't say anything, you don't get to respond, and your business is no longer accepted here!(Guess I'll have to take future warranty work elsewhere ... )Other negative reviews are similar. Nice at sale - not so nice afterwards, (sometimes) very rude employees, high priced, read the fine print.Better deals to be had.One final suggestion for Evon: take an active listening course and stop talking over your customers!

Worst experience I've ever had. They don't deserve even one star. They will not stand behind their products or even attempt to work with me to see if the issues can be resolved. Even so far as to flat out lie to get me to go away.Be warned, go elsewhere, you will be glad you did.

I hardly ever write reviews. We had such a fantastic experience with this company that I felt it was necessary to say a few things. First, this is a review for scooter rentals. We were in town for a few days and needed to rent a scooter for one of our family members. I had called Independent Mobility Plus about a month before our trip and the receptionist was super friendly. She reserved us a scooter and said to call back a few weeks prior to put a security deposit on the scooter. I called a week before, and again, super friendly. One of my concerns was that we needed a scooter, possibly, through Saturday afternoon/evening. The stores closes on Saturday at noon. I emailed the owner, and he responded right away and provided his cell phone number and just said to text him whenever and he would meet us at the shop after hours to drop it off. When we did pick up and drop off the scooter, we talked to both the receptionist and owner and they were extremely polite and helpful. This is honestly probably one of the best experiences that I've ever had with any business in terms of customer support/communication. I would absolutely recommend this company and will definitely utilize their services again if we are in the area. Great experience!

Sylvia and I went there today which is June 23rd 2022. We went looking for hospital bed and a lift chair. We purchase both of them today and the staff was very very helpful and friendly to help us find what we needed. Somehow they managed to deliver everything today and set it up ,and we are absolutely grateful that they were able to do this for us. We recommend them for anybody that needs medical equipment.Larry & Sylvia

Unfortunately was sold into getting a really expensive wheelchair and didn’t read the fine print or was told (nor did I ask) that there isn’t a return policy.. So even though it’s been less that a month of use - the $850 wheelchair cannot be retuned or exchanged. On top of that, the feet mechanisms no longer lock.. Will edit this post with type of wheelchair purchased and always ask about a return policy….
