I bought a certified pre-owned 2022 Equinox w/12,000 miles on it. We have had nothing but problems with the infotainment system. I notified the dealer in the first 24 hours we had the car. They have had it multiple times to “fix” it and they keep telling me since they can’t get it to give them an error code they can’t get GM to warranty a new. I feel like that is an issue the dealer needs to work out on their end. Since I told them within 24 hours of owning it about the problem and it being CPO they should replace the infotainment system with a new one.

So I’ll start this off with my first Gandrud experience which occurred about 5 years ago - I bought my first used truck and had a perfectly pleasant experience. They were friendly, worked with me on the price, and had me out the door with a good truck and a solid deal.
Now for the most recent experience…I was finally ready to buy my first new truck. I perused the website and found a Chevy Silverado RST at a price that was within my budget. I reached out via the contact me link and ended up texting with a sales associate. I asked him directly what the list price would be (which he gave me.) I said I was very interested and asked him to reach out when they have the window sticker/invoice. About a week later, the price suddenly “jumped” around $5K and effectively outside of my budget. They claimed it was a GM website issue and insisted they would try to work with me on the deal. I ended up re-texting the same guy what info I was working with to see if they would work with me like they said they would. They didn’t even try. They came back to me with a quote of $150 a month OVER what I was expecting (800 instead of 650). For those that are curious on the math, I was looking at an original list price of ~51K, I was going to trade in a truck worth about 10-11k (kbb value) and was going to put $2500 down. I also have an excellent credit score. For those doing the math, a payment of 800 a month for 72 months is OUTRAGEOUS for this deal. I’m not sure what kind of interest rates or fees they seem to work with, but it was far from a deal and they were certainly not “working with me”. Gandrud got me interested with a good price, and then jacked it up when I said I was interested. They offered to “work with me” but came back with a price/monthly payment that was WILDLY more than I could have imagined. I don’t know what happened to them, but this certainly isn’t anything like my first experience. Unfortunately, I may have to look elsewhere for the truck I’m after.

On a very busy day in the shop, the Gandrud team was able to get me in and out quicker than expected. And while I was waiting, I got some work done on my laptop in the customer lounge. All in all, a productive visit!

Great service. Due to car issues, we had to bring the vehicle in a few days prior to our service appointment. They went above and beyond to get it in asap and had it fixed by early am the next day, 3 days prior to our scheduled appointment. Really helped us out of a bind. Very responsive and reasonable priced.

4.5 stars. Pretty decent experience buying a car here. Quick and easy and I didn't have to take out a loan to receive a discount. I just paid cash. I had no issues with the sales lady. I didn't set up an appointment in advance, so some delay in the process is understandable.
-Downside of buying here is I'm only getting 1 free oil change and tire rotation as opposed to if I would have bought at VanHorn and got Oil For life.
They also try to upsell you into buying a ceramic coating for non-luxury vehicles. I thought this practice was a bit ridiculous. They will also put the Gandrud logo sticker on your vehicle unless you specify to have it off. Ads have no place on brand new vehicles.
-Also this isn't a knock on Gandrud but more so on GM. some of the newer vehicles have OnStar and OnStar is a very shady company when it comes to their subscription pay-model. You got to make sure you cancel before your free-trial expires since they force you to put a card on file. Bad business practice.
4.5/5 stars

Excellent communication, was able to get the info I needed over the phone. Sales person sent me links to start the process before I got to the dealership. When I arrived they had the vehicle ready and made the paperwork process extremely fast and hassle free. They also price matched the vehicle I bought to a similar one at a different dealer. Zero surprises at all with price once I got there

The express lube is not at all an express lube. 2 cars in front of me took over an hr and 15 min with 4 useless employees standing around and talking the whole time. Trash

I had an outstanding truck buying experience. The salesman, Greg, was courteous, knowledgeable, competent and patient. The vehicle pricing was very fair and competitive with other dealers in the region.

I would like to express my deep disappointment in salesman Derik with my 85 year old father. My father purchased a brand new Chevy Colorado a year ago. It was his dream truck. Unfortunately he fell in October hurting his right arm. He no longer had the strength to pull himself into the truck safely. We agreed as a family that he should trade it in for something safer. He began looking back at an Equinox (which our family has owned previously) just something basic. Derik proceeded to show him the fanciest, most expensive Equinox because it " was such a deal". We told him to wait as it was a holiday weekend and we would go with him the following week to look. I even called to tell Derik and the sales manager Dominic that I thought they were treating him unfairly and trying to upsell him on this vehicle and told them we would come in with him. Well needless to say they talked him into purchasing the Equinox Premier while the family was out of town. Also I think the amount he got on his trade in was very unfair as well. The truck wasn't even a year old and never was driven from October to February, so the mileage was low. Sad they took advantage of an elderly man this way. Our family has purchased many vehicles from Gandrud in the past but after this we will have to reconsider which dealership we buy from in the future.
