I have an auto loan with them and they literally do not have working online account access. This is mind blowing to me in 2023. I've done various resets, had them delete my account and set up a new account.

I'm only a member at this bank, for my employer's HSA program. I have been trying to go paperless for months now and can't get into my account. I reached out to support on the website and they're like "oh yeah just call :)" so I called and some lady took HELLA information, knowing the purpose of my call was to go paperless, then informed me, after taking all my information, that she couldn't help me, but could walk me through how to do this. Bro, you are taking $4/month out of my HSA account because YOU are sending me paper statements, that I've asked to not be sent to me multiple times. People got medications they need, hence is why we have HSA accounts. Printing statements and mailing them out doesn't cost $4 honey and I'm sure the employees doing this work, aren't getting paid that $4. Ick.

Have been with the associated bank for years. Since the bought out bank mutual. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone with all their hidden fees. Recently, just got charged 198 in hidden fees and they couldn't help me one bit!If you are thinking about joining, don't find a better bank. Really wish I could rate them no star

I’ve been using this bank for years. I have never really had a problem with them until this year. If someone was complaining about their bank to me I would tell the how much I love AB and that they should switch.Unfortunately this past year has completely changed my mind about them. In total I have been charged around $135 in fees from them. It’s just disappointing to say the least. We are in a recession and the pandemic is still going on. Maybe people have lost their jobs (me included) and is trying to deal with rising prices everywhere. The fact that they have the audacity to charge this much when so many people are in a financial crisis has made me completely change my mind about them. I wouldn’t recommend back here unless you’re used to all the fees.

Terrible bank to select and chose from. It is no wonder that it is not a popular financial institution in my area and there has been more bad than good things said about this particular bank. It will close one's accounts and end a personal relationship without notice and justifiable cause. Then it takes a while for the bank to want to return one's money. There are lots of other financial institutions to choose from and that are much better. Eliminate the hassles by avoiding this particular financial institution It does not value customers and treat everyone equally. Don't believe the hype.

Recently, a deal was struck with Summit Credit union to purchase the Associated Bank branch in Monroe, WI. Instead of giving customers a choice as to whether they wanted to switch to Summit credit union, customers accounts were transferred without their permission. To me, this shows clearly what we already know about banks: they have zero care about their customers and only care about maximizing their own profits. As a 20+ year customer of Associated Bank (and at least 10 years prior as a First Financial customer), I was treated like a piece of livestock auctioned off as part of an acquisition deal to maximize the sale of one of their branches to Summit Credit Union. I was never given the option, or choice, I was simply told I was now a part of Summit Credit Union. What worse? I dont even bank in Monroe, I bank in Madison and Eau Claire.I now need to change my direct deposit, automatic payments, all my saved card numbers, for a bank that has no branch locations anywhere in the state, and likely doesnt have the same type of checking account I had with Associated (which I was happy with).Upon calling customer service, I was told that its too late, my accounts have been transferred to Summit and that I need to close my accounts with Summit and re-open (again) with Associated. Well needless to say, I will be closing my Summit account and I wont be re-opening with Associated.I want everyone reading this to know (and Aaron Rogers I hope you are reading this too) that Associated Bank leadership puts profits over its customers. We are not cherished and respected, because if we were, they would have given us a choice or option to stay with Associated or move to Summit. This was clearly part of the acquisition agreement to sell us off to Summit in exchange for purchasing their branch. I hope current customers read this and decide to take their business elsewhere.

Nathan Masterson is extremely Rude and inconsiderate. He has no sense in pride and does not care about people. I hope he finds a different position that does not involve customer service as was the worst experience I've ever had. I hope this is not taken lightly and that he is removed from his position and learns a lesson. He called me a liar and was very insulting.

My girlfriend is the victim of a potential fraud/ identity theft crisis. She has had a case open for two weeks now and has not gotten any word of when this problem will be resolved and when her account will be unfrozen. She has ONE case worker assigned to her case. They have not spoken. Each time she calls in the woman “Lexi” is busy and will call back. When trying to leave a message the call just drops. Absolutely horrible display of customer service. My girlfriend is on the verge of tears every day as we get closer to the date we are set to close on our house. How will we do that with her accounts frozen?

On line assistance is a quagmire of excuses. Had problem with a glitch in their system regarding setting up a HSA account the first time around. After being advised to delete and re-apply, then after four additional days later was bounced around from one customer assistant to another w/o any solutions. The HSA department is especially robotic, incapable of offering solutions. Excel at passing the buck back to the bank who passed the buck to Branch Office. Apparently, The micro deposit was never recorded in the ON Line account page but was view-able from the Branch Office computer (not mine). Branch Office was going to pass me back to the HSA dept. which I had to stop her from doing due to the useless help I was given the first time around. Requested a supervisor at HSA branch and was told they are not available. This bank needs problem solvers, not buck passers. More training strongly suggested.

Terrible online banking using Quicken for Mac. Can't download transactions from this bank but can from several other banks. Customer care people don't seem to care, and sometimes don't understand the problem.
