Woke up to a non-functioning refrigerator and the same day we called, Chris the service tech, came out to look at it! He was very personable, knowledgeable and up front with us. Unfortunately our refrigerator was unfixable but the excellent customer service we received from Collin and Nick in the store was top notch! We ended up buying a new refrigerator and upright freezer. The delivery process was fast and they made it seem easy! Overall, super impressed with the service and quality of this business. We will always be loyal Mathu's customers!”
“Was not a grand experience.
Sales staff was nice but the delivery was terrible. Two men in a unnamed truck arrived with refrigerator. Damage the hinges on the door and both doors taking them off. Drop the new refrigerator in the kitchen and I had an old one in the basement that needed to be removed.
They took the doors off of it and use their delivery straps to try to get it up the stairs for only10 minutes.
They bang it up against the walls damaging my paneling. Stained the carpeting and left some kind of chips in the hallway. One of which got stuck in my dog's foot. They told me that they could not get the refrigerator up the stairs. I asked them if they could use a dolly. I got it down there 15 years ago with a dolly and a friend. They had a dolly on the truck but they said they don't use that anymore.
They asked me if I wanted to keep the new refrigerator. They could leave the one downstairs put one in the garage and put the new one in the kitchen. I told him I didn't need three refrigerators and refuse to delivery.
Later I looked at my old refrigerator in the basement they had not put the door back on properly and lost spacers for the door hinges and broke a wheel on the refrigerator. That refrigerator worked okay it was just older. Now with the door's are unable to close tightly it does not cool down. So it is now useless.
I called Grand appliances customer service four times and basically got no results. I wanted to be compensated for the damage they did to my home and breaking my old refrigerator. That was a waste of my time they did nothing. It has been 3 months since the botched delivery.
In the 30 years I've lived in my house I have moved lots of things up and down the stairs. I've had no problem as long as I was CAREFUL. They should take responsibility over their delivery people. I will update this if I get any positive results.”
