Took my dog here when he was just a pup… 14 years later we are back , same vet, and I feel happy knowing that he is really cared for. They took their time, did a full evaluation and gave me lots of options to keep him happy in his sr years. I am so glad I came back here for his sr years. I love my dog so much and it’s very important !

I just want to say thanks to all the people that helped me today as I had to have my Chihuahua Max put to sleep today. They were so kind and gentle with Max both times I had to bring him in. All the people there are God sent. And keep their cool with Someone that has to put their dog to sleep and keep their composure with with all the ugly crying lol. Thanks again. I have one more little Chihuahua left, and I would not take her anywhere else, but besides Howard Animal Hospital. Thank you also to the girls at the front desk and Nicole. Cheryl Everard

We have been bringing all of our pets here for a few years now. A few weeks ago on a Wednesday we noticed our cat licking a lot and unable to urinate. They were able to squeeze us in and determined he was blocked up due to crystals. We made the decision and spent 2,000.00 to have a catheter put in and have him flushed out. This went well but on Thursday he plugged the catheter up. At this point with no guarantee of it working if we tried again, we had to make the unfortunate decision to put him down at 4pm since he was unable to urinate. 2 hours later the doctor called and said we have a vet tech here that would be willing to pay for the expenses to have him flushed again, take care of him over the weekend and if he pulled through, then that vet tech would just keep our cat as basically an adoption. We absolutely love our animals and making the decision to put him down was not easy. After that call my wife and I both 2nd guessed ourselves and felt like we were making the wrong decision. We were completely astonished that that we would even be asked. We never brought up a shortage of finances of any sort with the vet and were simply looking out for the best interest of our cat. We decided to try again with the catheter because if a vet tech was willing to risk money than we obviously thought there was a good chance he would make it. Two days later and 2,600.00 he clotted up and we had to again make the decision to put him down. Ethically, morally and professionally this should have been handled very differently. Making people second guess themselves on this incredibly difficult decision is horrible. We sincerely hope this is not common practice, this is not a new clinic. We have pulled our other animals from this vet and will no longer be doing business with them.

I have a 11 yr old cat that hasn't been seen by this vets office since he was a young. I called today to see if I could get an appointment for him as he has been throwing up for the last 48 hrs (they open the earliest). The first question I was asked was when he was last seen by them, I answered the question. I was then told that they couldn't schedule an appointment for him because their scheduling system is down from the software security issue. Appears to me that if he had been seen recently they would have scheduled an appointment for him today. Now I'm remembering why the clinic hasn't been where I take my cat.
UPDATE. The vet that made time for my cat gave him fluids under the skin & gave him anti vomiting meds. They did x-rays & discovered only a bladder stone. They did barium & more x-rays & that showed no problems. He is back to normal & starting a new food for his bladder stones. Also he now has a pet friendly vet & his next appointment is already scheduled as they were so caring.

We bring our 3 cats to Animal Hospital of Howard to see Dr. Heather, when she is available. My husband and I, and our fur babies, are very happy with the service we receive here! I always recommend Animal Hospital of Howard.

Both the vet and vet tech were very personable and friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I felt the vet heard and understood my concerns, made a positive relationship with my dog, myself and my son, and did a great job with a thorough exam and clear explanations and advice. I will definitely return and bring my other pets. 100% would recommend!

One of the few vets I've visited that don't try to take advantage of owners by recommending every test and procedure in the book. Truly caring and empathetic. Great staff. You can tell they are there for their love and caring of animals.

We have been going to the Animal Hospital of Howard for several years now. Dr. G is typically who see our four dogs and one cat. Dr. G is amazing! She is friendly, down-to-earth, compassionate, funny and knowledgeable. We have only had positive experiences with the Vet Techs also; we particularly enjoy Bree. Our experience with reception staff has only been positive as well. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else!
August, Barkley, Arthur, Mochi and Patches say, "Thanks for taking such great care of us, Dr. G and the rest of the staff!"
