Caroline went out of her way to help me out and Coral sat me down when we talked I truly felt comfortable with her. They greet everyone by name when you walk in and it's clearly a big family sort of business. I had gone in to just to open an account and solve some problems and left feeling like I had made a friend and optimistic about everything going forward. Overall awesome experience!

I have banked at North Shore for 10 years. Up until August 31st I received great customer service. On August 31, I used the Automated teller service to deposit 400 dollars for my health insurance. There is no instructions on how to insert the money or how many bills to your insert at a time. So after counting out my 400 dollars in cash twice for me and five times by my husband I inserted in no money came loose it all went in... The teller then proceeded to tell us (my husband was in the passenger seat) that she only received 360 dollars... That was 40 dollars short... we each counted the money many times.... The teller then proceeded to give us a provisional 40 dollars and they would audit the machine within a week to get the 40 dollars out of the machine, as it was essentially just sitting in the machine. Obviously I was scared that we would be out the 40, so I called North Shore the next day, explained the situation and they said the audit to the machine would address the situation with the missing 40... A week goes by and after the audit which isn't even done by North shore bank, but instead with the Brinks company.... and it was reported that the machine was even and there was no extra 40. So they took the brinks Brinks employees word assessed me the 40 dollars and an additional overdraft fee. I am a nursing student in my last semester I have to pay out of pocket so every penny counts. I ran to the bank and explained my situation and that both myself and my husband had infatically counted the money as it was my payment for my health insurance... they had no clue what I was talking about or how the automated banking system worked.... The assistant branch manager took my phone number and told me that the branch manager would get back to me.... Well I never got a phone call back.. I paid the 40 dollars and the fee on Friday September 7th and that was that... so today September 13th I had to make a deposit... I did it on my way to school... Well I couldn't resist so I explained my story to the teller who didn't have a clue... so she got the branch manager... who happened to be the lady who didn't return any of my calls or give me a call back. She said the brinks system was correct and that I never put the 400 in as the 40 was in the machine. She had such a tone as if I was trying to steal the 40 dollars.... really? As a future nurse I was taught to review and check over everything I do I counted the money 2 times and my husband counted it an additional 5 times. So even though I lost my 40... I thought by writing this review I could save another poor soul from losing their hard earned money to a bank.... DO NOT BANK AT NORTH SHORE.... if you must don't use the automated teller system... it's too new and there clearly hasn't been enough employees trained to troubleshoot it.

The physical location is difficult to drive through. Their website isn't very user friendly and there is no online loan payment option. This bank needs to get out of the dark ages. I'll be looking to transfer my loan to my credit union.
