I have not seen this doctor, so am giving the 1 star for an interaction with a female office staff member of his, and the reason my family will no longer consider him for our PCP. We recently moved to Milwaukee and were on the search for a new doctor-this doctor came up on my Sequoia app through my BCBS insurance, so I called 2 weeks ago.The first office member I talked to was delightful, asked me all of the ‘application’ questions, explaining this is a single doctor private practice, and he wants to ensure we have the insurance that will make us worth it as patients, essentially. I get that, and have an excellent PPO, so wasn’t concerned. She said they’ll review, and return my call the following week-worked for me.Two weeks later, I end up calling back, and the woman (a different person) answered the phone, told me she doesn’t have my and my daughters information back from the doctor, so I should call back later. I explained the first call I had, and she changed her tone a bit more negatively when I asked if she could check with the doctor and get back to me, then at the end of the call she probably meant to say this under her breath, but I heard “jesus” as if I had irritated her with my call to request an update. That was very unexpected and caught me off guard as it seemed like a reasonable request.I ended up going back to my insurance site, and found a doctor’s office who were able to make us both an appt and not give me such a hard time. I called her back to let her know she could remove us from the doctors roster of interest, as her attitude allowed me to find another doctor.I was actually thankful she showed that attitude before we even started seeing that doctor-front desk staff make or break a practice, and she has probably pushed away more potential patients before me (and will likely continue to do so)!

He has been my whole family doctor for over 15years. He and his staff treats you like family. Helped us so many medical issues. He listen to you and care.

Doctor Okunsanya is a great doctor who treat every patient like a family. He cares about his patients and motivates them to make healthy decisions when it comes to their health.
