I usually have good experiences at H&M but my most recent purchase today change my perspective. I came to this location with my daughter to find a specific outfit. As I’m shopping I notice an associate watching our every move. No matter where we went she would turn her body towards us and stare. It was so bad to the point it made me VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! Every other associate was very friendly but that particular girl. Definitely changing locations to shop elsewhere.

The snobbery displayed by the staff is funny, albeit off-putting. Come now, it’s not Chanel. It’s H&M for crying out loud. Get over yourselves.

Today, after not being in the Bayshore Mall H&M for a while (I stopped shopping there for the reason I am about to mention), I went shopping there. Unfortunately, I got watched like I was going to steal something, racial profiling I believe it’s called; this has happened to me more than once at this store at Bayshore Mall. The (white) Sales Associate hovered around me the whole time acting like they were fixing something on the rack in front of and next to me; the Sales Associates of color never assume I am going to steal, they just let me shop in peace. Yes, I bought clothing like I always do when shopping there but I think I will stop shopping there for a while again. Dealing with this racial profiling in this location is exhausting.

There were two fitting room attendants, yet somehow a male customer walked into my changing room while I was half naked. When I confronted the fitting room attendant about this, she said, “oh my god, I’m sorry, I didn’t even see that happen” time to upgrade your fitting rooms from curtains to doors. I will never come back here due to lack of privacy, lack of compassion, and lack of awareness from staff.
