A couple hours after dropping the van off I received a call and Hometown said "Your brakes are fine. “When my "check engine" light came on, a transmission problem was indicated. The mechanics checked over my 20 year old Sebring convertible thoroughly and said the transmission was fine, but the light may be part of an electrical problem that I have been putting up with for months, a problem that continually drains the battery. They said electrical issues weren't their specialty, but recommended another small business nearby. There was no charge for their expertise!”
“Very helpful. The online booking tool has some bugs for sure: I booked an emissions test online for a Saturday, but they don’t actually conduct emissions testing on the weekend. Still, they helped me out even though they could’ve just turned me away. So I’d give them some grace on their booking issues - technology gets the best of me sometimes too”

They kept me informed about the work they were doing, and let me know as soon as my truck was ready. Here I am, 2 years later, I thought I was having issues with my transmission again. We set an appointment, they looked at, and gave me a good lead on what the issue might be, after it turned out to not be the transmission.”
