Only communicates via snail mail. Does not notify me when there's an update to the rates for auto and home. Services should be more personal. I email with concerns and responses are from other agents.

I was shopping for insurance quotes for the rental properties that I managed because my current insurer Farmers decided to jack up their renewal premiums significantly. The new premiums for all my properties were unexpectedly high. I had been a loyal Farmers customer for about 30 years starting with my auto insurance and had never made a claim. I understood that with all these natural disasters happening around the country, Farmers (and all insurers) would increase their rates but not by the huge increase that they decide to put onto my policies especially for a client with several policies with them and had never filed a claim. It did not pay to be a loyal customer.I lucked out and found Lee Morehouse (from Allstate). His quotes were very competitive - comparing the same coverages and limits. He even lowered some of my existing coverages that were deemed excessive and this helped to save me some money too. Lee was extremely responsive, especially via emails and phone calls. He was very easy and nice to talk with, unlike another agent from another company that I encountered during this "shopping trip". Lee was not pushy at all. I felt he tried to create a connection with his customers. One of the rental properties failed a 3rd party inspection due to some minor roof shingles that they said were lifting. We thought the inspection on the roof shingles was a little unreasonable. Lee went above and beyond, climbed up the roof and caulked the lifting shingles in place, took photos and submitted an appeal. The appeal was approved and the policy was reinstated. I was very skeptical that it would work initially because I did not know how the insurance companies work. Lee was extremely helpful and I did not expect this to happen, maybe because I moved all my policies over to Allstate? In addition, Lee was on top of everything. Some of the policies did not receive the payments from the properties' escrow accounts promptly and pending cancellation, Lee made sure that the escrow accounts had received the proper paperwork and checked every now and then that Allstate received the payments. I also did my part to ensure that payments were deducted from the escrow accounts to prevent a cancellation.Even though the Allstate Insurance Agent was listed as Brandon Bystol, I had not met him or talked to Brandon. It was Lee that I worked with the entire time. This seemed a bit strange to me as I was used to only talking to the agent of the company. The other thing is when I called the main office phone number, it would always connect to a "smart" voice system, and sometimes it redirected to another office which is not the office that I need to reach. You would have to say the magic word "Agent" to be redirected to Brandon Bystol office. I wished there was just a direct office number I could call without having to go to a "smart" voice system.If you are looking for a quote, please do not hesitate to give Lee a call. I would highly recommend him.

I worked with Lee Morehouse and he did a great job finding me a much better deal on my auto insurance than I had been paying. He explained the coverage and got me more for less. I would recommend Lee to anyone who is looking for auto insurance.

I am currently having an issue with my account and my agent has refused to speak to me about it. When i asked to speak to him, he actually had the nerve to have his assistant to tell me to call customer service after 5:30. He wont take a call from me, and has also not answered any emails. And my issue has still not been resolved after trying to deal with this for months.
