While this is a clean location with a variety of foods and other items to choose from, I would proceed with caution if you are a black person. I have never been treated so poorly in my 30 years of life. From the staff members to the people of this town, I can't help that I was born black no more than yall can help that yall were born white. I speak, no one speaks back. Everyone stares at me like I'm some sort of an experiment. I was followed around the store as I shopped for food. I wish I had brought food from home instead of giving my hard earned money to this place. I even tried making conversation with a cashier and he said verbatim, yeah yeah I'm not interested in what you have to say. ? I didn't know what to say. I was at loss for words. I look around and everyone seems to be friendly towards everyone else. Only difference is that everyone else is white and I'm literally the only black person in sight. Well, congratulations Citgo. You got your point across. It's clear that I'm not welcome. I am an OTR regional truck driver for Roehl Transport. I am parked here for a 34 hour reset, but rest assured, I'll give you what you want and never come here again. I'll be sure to ask my FM to never have me park here ever again. ?

Customers and employees are always nice. I love stopping to get coffee and my breakfast keto sandwich at subway there.

They would not serve me alcohol or nicotine and accused me of having a fake ID. Didn’t even try to scan it. Disappointed

We were treated so rude in the subway at the travel plaza. The first women to greet us was extremely rude and instead of saying I'm sorry we don't have that bread here, it was sarcastic we have only this or this! I asked for cheddar cheese and got shredded, not a I'm sorry we don't have cheddar but do have this or this. And THEN when I asked for subway seasoning, which our hometown store has, I was made fun of and she continued the ridicule of my request with a customer she apparently knew. So I glad I never have to go to particular location again. The rest of the employees in the travel center were fantastic!!! lol be person certainly can ruin a what was good experience.
