“Love, Love, Love this Inn!! We have been coming to Great River Road Inn for years and it NEVER disappoints. Love the charm of the older home with all the amenities you could want. My Sister and I have either rented the Farmhouse Apartment or Suite 2 & 4 with the adjoining upper balcony. Always peaceful, relaxing and a wonderful time to unwind. Beautiful views of the river with incredible sunsets. Thanks for providing such an amazing place!!”

“Met our needs for sleeping. Would be quite cozy for more than 3-4 people. The full kitchen seemed nice, but we only used the fridge. Simple place for simple needs. Clean.”

“A Slice of Heaven! By far the best Bed & Breakfast we have stayed at hands down! The ambience, food, history of the home, our room & Innkeeper Richards attention to detail were all top shelf! You start the day with an incredible breakfast which includes dessert & end the day with a nightcap & piece of chocolate waiting for you in your room. Felt special staying here. What we found striking in reading other reviews is the joy this home & Innkeeper Richard have brought so many others that have stayed here. Add us to the list!”

“Was lucky enough to find this on a night where La Crosse was entirely booked, and this is just off the main circle in town. It had really nice beds, a bathroom with one of those showers with dispensers of shampoo on the wall, and a ton of channels to watch. The breakfast even had things like a puffy cheese thing that wasn’t exactly a souffle but it was tasty. Even had a local hot sauce. Impressive hotel, with the only downside of not being near 90.”

“You can tell this was a beautiful hotel in it's prime. The hotel is aging and needs upgrades and touch ups. Our room was a great set up with 2 queens and a pull-out couch for my mom, me and my 19 year old son. The problem was, the pull-out mattress was super worn and uncomfortable, so I put my 19 year old in one queen bed and my mom and I shared the other. It worked. The beds were good. The tub had some rust stains and wear around the drain and some of the wall paper was lifting at the baseboards... showing it's age. Nice bathroom with double sinks to make getting ready easier with two women hogging the counter and mirror. The breakfast is nice, but not hot... there were options to microwave breakfast sandwiches or make oatmeal. Lots of fruit and yogurt and hard boiled eggs to add to your toast or bagels or muffins. Great pool, hot tub, and fitness center area. Everywhere was clean, and well-maintained. Staff was always very helpful and nice.”

“For a budget hotel choice, the room we had was in great shape and very clean. We chose a Queen Deluxe to get the lounge chair and that was a good choice. There's a busy road nearby but the noise was not an issue. The window in the room was openable, which I appreciate to get fresh air.”
