Great selection of things for small animals, especially different food brands, toys, and treats. Prices are competitive, sales are really good on individual items in store.

An actual warehouse sized inventory for cats and dogs. They have limited inventory for birds, rabbits, chickens, and horses. Surprisingly, they did not have anything for fish or other reptiles.They have super high quality products but their prices are much higher compared to the chain pet supply stores or online.Looking specifically at the cat food, I saw a lot of organic and human-grade wet/dry food brands I haven't seen in other stores.They have a great selection of pet beds- my cat absolutely approved!Finally, their staff is so friendly and kind. While visiting, I interacted with about 5 employees and they were all wonderful to interact with.

Super friendly staff, we were the only people in the whole building which was kind of weird for being in Madison wisconsin. They give you candy bars when you check out Mounds bars. I don't know what to think but you probably get better prices somewhere else depending on who you want to support

Great selection of dog and cat stuff pet friendly nice staff.... But buy your small animal and bedding and food next door at farm and fleet. It's cheaper.

The slogan: from earthworms to elephants and everything in between, mounds petfood warehouse feeds them all. . .except bearded dragons. Or any reptilian creature actually. Maybe they should just say dogs and cats. We have stuff for dogs and cats.PS, there's another local "pet supply" that's a "plus" if you wanted to google those words and then drive the 2 seconds. You'll find it a lot more appealing.

This place is like a Toys-R-Us but for your pet. I happened to be traveling and saw a commercial on TV for this place and decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by several employees and even some fund raising groups that were there that day. My dog was so excited to explore and the options for toys is insane! They have super unique toys for all your pets wants, needs, likes, &size; love the rawhide free bar and other chew options. And like the name indicates the amount of pet food options is huge!!! Large variety for all diet types and different options for fresh food and treats. My dog could have made out like a bandit but luckily we didn't have the extra space in the car. We live in IL but so glad I stopped in and I will have to find more reasons to travel to WI just to shop here (unless you find it in your hearts to expand to IL ❤️).

I have been a loyal supporter of Mounds, and this store, for 12 years. The one star isn’t a reflection of my desire to support this store, and while it hurts to leave a one star review, when all of the online stores (Chewy, Amazon, etc) offer the same items for 15-30% less, and the manager refuses to even offer a 5% discount when showing the same item, that is a losing business strategy. To be clear, I didn’t ask for a price match - just a willingness to provide a loyalty discount. If I am not getting good service and appreciation for being a customer, I don’t see the point in paying the extra premium to continue supporting the business.

Went in today to get horse grain. They had one option, $13 more expensive per bag than farm and fleet. Staff at register said they do not match prices. Happy to support a local business but not with that price discrepancy. I left and likely wont be back.
