They always make a point that they are available if we have any questions. We've been to all of the other furniture stores in the greater Madison area and we always seem to find what were are looking for at Slumberland. They always beat the competition in price. We've bought most of our new furniture at Slumberland and I imagine we will continue to. Very happy with the purchases we've made and the buying experience.”
“Century House furniture delivery staff members Brady and John were outstanding!! We have a 1938 house that has smaller door openings. They did their remarkably professional assessment of the sectional’s and the doorways’ dimensions. They figured out how to position our new furniture so well, that by a hairs-breadth it made it unscathed into our downstairs living room. The care these two took of our purchase was breathtakingly amazing. I am ecstatically pleased with Century House and the commitment that all of them so capably share with their customers. Thank you. “I love this shop! There is something for almost everyone within these four walls. I have both gotten gifts and received gifts from here over the years. The staff are always very friendly. They have lots of snarky and sweary things, clothing, hats, housewares, and decor. Things are well priced. Definitely stop in!”

“We stopped in this lovely store while on a short visit. Not only is it filled with a wonderful variety of beautiful items, but the service is beyond unbelievable! I found some wonderful gifts for Christmas and a few other gifts for friends and family. A lady behind the counter who I’m assuming is the owner was just wonderful! Everything I bought was beautifully gift wrapped at no extra cost! I think I vaguely remember that kind of customer service from the department stores in the “old days“ and haven’t ever seen anything like it since. That is until coming to this lovely shop! I’m thrilled that I can still order some things online and will be doing so soon. If you’re in the area, this shop is a must visit.”
“My jaw hit the floor the moment I saw the front window! What a show stopping window!! Everything in the store is so carefully curated with love and appreciation! “I had visited Rubin’s a dozen times over the years and had always wanted a really nice sofa. When the time was finally right, we visited the new showroom and ran into JJ. After narrowing our selection down to 2 sofas, JJ visited our home to lend his design expertise and draw up how each sofa would fit into our space. We settled on the Titan and some additional recommendations for our space and couldn’t be happier. Delivery was white glove and after sale communication has been great.Purchasing a piece from Rubin’s is a big deal, these are high quality pieces that are accompanied by high quality service. I’ve visited all the stores, nothing compares to Rubin’s.”

“The staff at this location was both a very polite, and incredibly helpful. I do not live in this area, but was here for work and popped in because I saw the -sale- sign outside. I was greeted at the door and told about the sale by a lovely young woman, and after looking around and scoping out their Halloween decor, but not finding the piece I had seen at my local Kirklands (before the sale), I approached the gentleman behind the counter. I had taken photos, so he looked it up and it did not look like they were going to be getting it anytime soon. He informed me that the sale was chainwide, and not just this location, and then offered to call the store I had seen the item at and have them hold it for me.
Above and beyond! Customer service really does make a difference, and that gentleman made my day!”

This store has a wide array of materials from plants, to planters, books, puzzles, and anything you may need to take care of your plants. Even if you aren’t a plant person, you can find something here. Their small plants make great gifts. I highly recommend this store!”

“Unique store. Neat variety of merchandise. My son bought many stickers which were $1 each. He also bought a banana duck which is so unique. There was local artist work for sale. There was random items which I really liked. Many of the prices were high. I do understand that it a locally owned store.
The shop owner recommended other shops according to our interests.

“Rubin's is either your cup of tea or not. The styles are generally modern, Scandinavian inspired and very interesting. We stopped at their warehouse/larger store (there is also a design center downtown) and found a large showroom full of things I'd very much like to buy. There's a clearance area off to the side that sells floor models and returns at good discounts. We were looking for some lounge-y chairs and there were options aplenty. Helping us was very knowledgeable Barb who was never intrusive and let us look around. After making the rounds, we kept coming back to one specific chair - Barb let us know they had 2 in stock from a cancelled order (most things are made to order) in our preferred color, plus they were included in their anniversary sale. SOLD!! I work on the commercial furniture side and felt that the quality here was oberall very high and the prices, for what you get, are pretty fair. It's not IKEA prices to be fair but it's also not made in China crap that will fall apart and bottom out in a few months. You'll love it if: you appreciate mid century or modern design, want a high level of quality, want to customize items. You won't like it if: you need cupholders in your furniture.”
