For the past three months, I've worked with Coach Sam at FIT. I have been impressed with his expertise and patience in addressing my right knee issues and improving my overall mobility, strength and confidence. From the start, he and the other coaches at FIT have tailored workouts to accommodate my concerns/daily activities and provided valuable insights into proper exercise form. Thanks to their dedicated approach, I've experienced a remarkable reduction in discomfort. What sets Coach Sam and FIT apart from your usual personal trainer is not just their knowledge but also their genuine care for their client's well-being. The positive and motivating atmosphere they create during sessions is truly commendable. I started at FIT about a year ago with goals to work through physical imbalances and to return to team sports. My coaches have been extremely helpful by sharing their knowledge and helping me bust through my workouts. No matter how tough the workout is, they provide excellent positive reinforcement. Thanks to them I have improved my coordination, energy, and strength. FIT fosters a culture of excellence and community and would highly recommend anyone looking to better themselves to join.

I started working out at FIT in 2018 in the personal training program, and the individualized programming was especially helpful to get me back to full strength after a bout of knee surgeries. I now train as part of the West Madison Weightlifting team. I really appreciate the Olympic lifting specific programming and guidance from Coach Max. WMW and FIT are welcoming to any skill level. It’s fun to train with teammates and push for new PRs! I just competed in my third sanctioned weightlifting meet and hit an 11kg total meet PR! It’s pretty cool that I am now in my 30s and am just as strong, if not stronger than I was as a collegiate athlete in my 20s.

I really enjoy working out at FIT. The training has been fantastic. The personal training has really helped me perform exercises properly, and some persistent back stiffness that I had been suffering for about a year while working out alone has disappeared. Friendly staff, good facilities and lots of sessions throughout the day.

I moved to Madison last June after living my entire life in Florida and essentially got my butt kicked by my first real winter! It impacted my mental health a lot more than I anticipated and I found that my motivation was continuously deteriorating. I knew that I would feel better if I moved my body but I was just not able to hold myself accountable. My initial plan was to use FIT as a way to kind of get myself back in the habit of working out, but I quickly realized I was actually very excited about the idea of feeling strong and getting stronger, and I was also really enjoying the workouts.The coaches + staff at FIT are hands down the best part. Not only do they make you feel so incredibly welcomed every single time you step foot in the building, but they also pay such close attention to your specific needs, wants, workout plan, aches + pains, concerns, etc. Whether you’re someone who’s never picked up a set of weights before or you’re a seasoned pro, the coaches will meet you where you are and make the whole experience a blast.Gyms can be scary but this one seriously isn’t. I always leave feeling successful, strong, and very supported by the FIT team. I am so grateful that I found them!

I love going to FIT for the Olympic weightlifting classes. The coaching and equipment are exceptional. I started at the gym as a beginner weightlifter over 5 years ago because I wanted to join a competitive weightlifting team. I’ve learned and progressed more than I thought was possible because of the supportive coaching. The gym has dedicated coaching staff, class times, platform space, and equipment for weightlifting only. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a place to train weightlifting.

I started at FIT about four months ago. My goal was to become consistent with strength workouts. The team at FIT has been amazing. My programs are focused around my feedback and what my body can do. I look forward to going every week not only because I am feeling stronger but also because of the amazing community I feel like I have been added into.

I was new to weight training when joining FIT and immediately felt welcomed and supported. The coaches challenge me, keep me accountable, and celebrate my wins with me. I love the variety in my workouts and that my program is customized to me. Can’t recommend FIT enough!

I have spent a lifetime being active and staying as fit as possible. Biking, running,hiking, boot camp style workouts and now FIT. The combination of weights integrated with floor exercises has given me greater core strength, flexibility, and balance as I age.I am very pleased with the results. Jared and his team are professional, dedicated and intuitive. They pay attention to everyone's form and challenge each member to their best individual performance. My experience at FIT has been really great! All of the trainers are great at pushing you and making sure you are focused right on you technique. Also they have done a great job of helping me work through various joint pains. The pace of the Foundations program is great if you like circuit training that pushes you and make you feel better. I have been able to tell the difference in my six month journey in hiking, biking, and just walking through the neighborhood with my dog.

I had started weightlifting a bit on my own, and I wish I had got to a personal trainer sooner. After a bit of time at FIT my form was much better and I feel confident I can go in to a gym and work on weightlifting safely. This is big for me as I've always been uncomfortable athletically.Fantastic place to get training. I'm very glad I went here specifically. Beyond everyone being friendly, it felt inclusive. The trainers wouldn't put up with too much self deprication and were also great at encouraging you to do the best you can. I would recommend going for a consultation and giving this gym a shot.

Having people you can trust is key.”“Earlier this year I was able to juggle becoming a father, working, going to grad school and going to gym. While this was difficult, having coaches like the ones at FIT in my corner made it easier to keep coming to the gym. I've been going to Personal Training at FIT for over 2 years and I LOVE it! My first introduction to the gym was via my kids who were in the ADAPT program. By the way, if you have kiddos who are athletes (or not), get them in that program because it's awesome. They build so many skills and confidence. And it's those qualities that gave me the push to sign up myself.I've never been a gym person. Athletic as a kid and college student but not ever, ever a gym person. As my kids were about to leave high school, I started noticing that I had quite a bit of lower back pain, not as much endurance for stuff like yard work, and actually my stability and strength were slipping a little too. I knew exercising was the answer but I was really nervous about going to the gym - I had no idea what the exercises or equipment were - and, like a lot of people, I was worried about not being able to keep up or getting injured.I need not have worried! We set goals at that very first meeting and every 6 weeks we reevaluate those goals. Every single coach at FIT always asks "How are you feeling today?" They always check if you are feeling ok with an exercise, they always answer questions about the exercise you are doing, and they always have a way to modify the exercise so you are comfortable and successful. They build trust - and to me this is the "secret sauce" to FIT. Because I trust my coach - currently the fabulous Matt DeFiebre - I achieve so much and build confidence every single session.As a result I feel better, I no longer have lower back pain and I have extra confidence in my ability to do everyday strength tasks.I highly recommend FIT - all their coaches are awesome and it's such a great, fun atmosphere!

I joined FIT after a multitude of injuries from years of endurance training. The trainers are very knowledgeable, providing personalized workout plans tailored to my specific needs. A great environment, combined with targeted exercises played a crucial role in healing my injuries and rebuilding strength and stability.
