Wonderful Surprise! 2 day stay and we would come again. Our standard room (at a very fair price for Door County) was huge: king bed with nightstands and reading lights on both sides, sitting area with love seat, 2 chairs and coffee table and a fireplace, small dining table, highly functional kitchenette, enormous soaking tub, big walk-in closet with space saving pocket door, modern bathroom with walk in shower; great water pressure! We even had a lovely deck where you could choose to sit in the sun or the shade. This place looks like it might have previously been one of our typical Door County aging inns with 80’s style furnishings and bad bathrooms, that someone bought and smartly upgraded. The old touches are there, but modern upgrades are obvious. We were told that 2 sisters now own this place, and kudos to them for maintaining historic charm while providing a clean, fresh look to the rooms and bathrooms. Thoughtful touches like creamers in the fridge for your morning coffee, a custom made cabinet front to cover the mini fridge so it blends with the other cabinetry, a cute collection of decorative plates invoking Door County charm, are just the kinds of things that most places don’t think to do. We are in Door County all summer and just needed a weekend place at this particular time, but we will definitely recommend Lodgings to all of our friends and family who come up the Door for a visit.
Best Part: Our room was ready much earlier than check in so the lovely woman from the office called us to offer early check-in (and we weren’t easy to find, as we’d mistakenly typed our email incorrectly) How Thoughtful!

This place is great it’s very clean and couldn’t really good area of door County but!………… Do not book it through the booking site that comes up when you try to schedule. They will not give you any money back at all, even if you try and change it the same day! The booking site is called get a room. I had no idea that’s what I was booking on and it said that you cannot get a refund. On the pioneer site, it says you can definitely get almost all of it refunded if you change or have to cancel. I looked at that and then booked it on the other one did not realizing that I would have to pay $965 to cancel on the same day I booked!! I booked four days, and realized I wanted to go elsewhere and am stuck staying there.. even-the owners of pioneer in have no way to change it. They also charged an extra $200 to just book it.. very concerning. Watch what site you are I. And read the fine print.

My husband and I came during Christmas and it was so beautiful. Loved the cozy fireplace, king size bed, and view. We will be back!

We had the pleasure of staying at Pioneer Lane this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The room is extremely spacious and is more reflective of a small cottage than a hotel room. The check-in and out process was easy considering we arrived when the office was closed and the staff even left us a gift for our anniversary.While the room/building are a little outdated, they more than make up for it in the amenities and attention to detail.Lastly, this place is well-positioned to all of the attractions of Door County. You are equal driving distance to most of the towns which broadens what you can do within your trip's timeline.I'd highly recommend Lodgings at Pioneer Lane and we'll consider it the next time we visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here recently when I took a last minute trip to Door County. The location is fantastic, the accommodations were absolutely wonderful and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I am so glad that I found this hotel when I was looking for a place to stay in Door County, it will be my first choice next time for sure!

We loved our stay at the Lodgings on Pioneer Lane! We stayed at the Captain Bill's room, which is the smallest of them all but also the most reasonably priced. We figured since we would be out and about most of the time and use the room for sleep only, we didn't need the extra space. The bed was very comfortable (it has a topper mattress, which we ended up removing because we prefer our bed firm), decoration was tasteful and the bathroom was spacious. Everything was very clean. The best part was the location - you walk out of the room and cross the street and are by the water! A coffee shop, several breakfast and dinner restaurants and ice cream are all within a minute or two walking distance. Carly was very helpful and friendly. We will be definitely be back!

Many thanks to Carley and Hollace for their hospitality! The reservation made online at another establishment was never confirmed by the hotel...... so at the peak of fall colors my daughters and I were stranded without accommodations. Thankfully there was a suite available at Lodgings; and we were blown away with what was included. Beautiful location, the room and all it had to offer was absolutely perfect. Our trip was saved!
