We had an absolutely lovely time. The room and the grounds are stunning!!! The spa was great too. The staff in the restaurants and the food was great...But if i'm going to spend a thousand dollars for one night, it would be nice if the young dopey guy at the front desk didn't act like I was putting him out when I ask a question. I work in the hospitality industry, and I know what it's like to have to deal with people all the time, but try to have a better attitude.
Rooms: Perfect
Nearby activities: The beach at the lake is lovely.
I hope to visit the race track one day.
Walkability: It is a very large resort, so we drove from the spa to our room..but we very much enjoyed taking a long walk around the grounds the next day.
Food and drinks: The food was good and so were the beverages. Our server was very bubbly and the hostess was very nice.
Noteworthy details: If you are going there to see a show you should know that the doors open long before the show time and get there early if you want to have a spot up in front even if you pay extra for VIP... No one bothered to tell us that so that was annoying.

The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is well kept. The staff is extremely friendly. Our only meal there was sub par. There is better eating in town.

Got to room and outside of door looked like we had room service. Went in room and went in refrigerator and there was left over pizza in it. Told the front desk what we found and said we put it out the door they said the will send someone up. Next day it was still outside our door. We have a hot tub room went to use it the next night added some bubbles come back to check and public hair all in the soap so that was a no go on that. Not sure if they even cleaned the room. Not happy

The Osthoff Resort has an absolutely stunning location on Elkhart Lake. The grounds and hotel are beautifully kept which I truly appreciated. We didn't avail ourselves of the facilities as much as we should have, so I cant speak to the swimming pool, sauna, spa etc. Those weren’t high on my agenda but I was sorry after that I didn’t pack my swim suit. We arrived off season, mid October, which had its good and bad points. I gather it can get very busy and expensive during ‘on season’, so those are two pluses. Boat rides around the lake had stopped - too bad. We loved that the resort was an enjoyable walk to town (and a very small town it is too) but a bit disappointed that only a few of the shops were open. Not that the resort has any control over that, but it’s good to know if shopping is your thing. I found our one bedroom condo ‘tired looking’ and pricey, even in the off season. Room service is by request only - a leftover remnant from Covid days which I find distasteful because who doesn’t like their bed made and floor vacuumed after splurging on resort fees.
Front desk folk were attentive, and I enjoyed the nooks and crannies for sitting and reflecting.

I've been coming to the Osthoff since I was a baby for family reunions, which it is a great location for. It has big enough suites to host large families, and it is easy to work with coordinators for block rates. The resort as a whole feels stately and calming.
The beds are comfortable, but not all bedrooms will have king size beds, so be sure to ask when booking if this is important to you.
As the units are individually owned, appliances and furnishings can vary across them as well, but you can view individual units on their website to request.
The pool and jacuzzi are the perfect temperatures. There is also a modern arcade, but use of the machines are not covered by the cost of the room.
There are several nice restaurants in walking distance to the resort, but if you need to grocery shop, you'll have to drive 15-30 minutes to Plymouth or Sheboygan.
Rooms: -One, two, and three bedroom suites (with living room and kitchen)
-One bedroom guestrooms (no kitchen)
All guestrooms have a king bed, but not all bedrooms in suites do.
Bathroom and kitchen configurations change across suite units, with some bathrooms having a tub shower combo (requiring more mobility to step into) and some having a separate walk in shower.
Nearby activities: -Water and beach activities available at the resort
-Indoor activities at the resort include indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, arcade, kids events, and the Aspire Spa
-the resort also offers bookable experiences like cooking classes and scavenger hunts
Outside the resort, there's walking trails nearby, and further in Sheboygan there is a mini golf course, art museum, children's museum
Safety: The resort is handicap accessible with rooms on the ground floor, as well as elevators. There were smoke detectors and fire extinguishers in each unit.
The pool area had several safety signs as well as handicap lifts to get in and out of the water.
Walkability: There are several nice restaurants within 5-10 minutes of the resort - Off the Rail for breakfast and lunch, Harry's Pizza for lunch and dinner, and several more.
Food and drinks: The Osthoff has two restaurants, Otto's and The Concourse, which also offer room service. There is also food, coffee, and drinks available at the Elk Room bar.
The gift shop also has a limited selection of snacks, drinks, ready to eat meals, and alcohol.

Only complaint is not enough hangers. Pretty minor and I am sure they would bring more if I had called. But, they should have more than 3 hangers per bedroom without asking.

Nice resort with good amenities right along the edge of Elkhart Lake. Indoor and outdoor pools, beach, boats, bikes, game room, gym, walking trails and a couple restaurants. Rooms are nice, we were in a 2br condo. Restaurants are not great but you can get food there for convenience. We prefer Schwarz's Supper Club (15 minute drive) and The Garage BBQ (5 minute walk)

Great secluded place on a small lake 60 minutes away from Milwaukee. Rooms are wonderful and some have full kitchen facilities. Size vary and can be quite large if the room is needed.

First time here and can’t wait to book again!
A huge shout out to the following employees who made our anniversary stay memorable.
Davina, Cheyenne, Emily, and Brittany from the Concourse. The food was so delicious we ate here twice for dinner. The bone in rib eye and cajun shrimp pasta were very yummy. Davina was new and made her first grasshopper and it was probably the best one I ever had in 50 years!
One issue was the girl at the gift shop on Wednesday, the 28th. She sat behind desk on her phone, never greeted us, and we had to ask her to bring something to pull off a shirt from a higher rack which didn’t make her day. We were the only customers in the shop. We would’ve left but temperatures got cool for late August and we had to buy sweatshirts.
Other than that, everything was perfect. The grounds were gorgeous, hotel was clean, and beds were incredibly comfortable!

The service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. The coffee shop, bar, restaurant were great. Pool is nice, game room is great. The exterior looks so nice, the lobby is nice, but the rooms are terrible. We were expecting so much more from this place when it came to our room. We paid $1,500 for two nights in a dump. The furniture is shockingly uncomfortable and dated. No one in our group was comfortable on their beds. We asked for a cot for one of the kids and the mattress on it seemed older than me. Plus, the bedrooms are so small there is nowhere to put it. The A/C is so poorly controlled that either the upstairs bedrooms are so hot you can’t sleep or the downstairs bedroom is an ice box. Outlets didn’t work in one of the bathrooms and one of the bedrooms. The first Packer game was on and it was almost unwatchable due to the TV having issues (maintenance said there was nothing they could do). The kitchen had the cheapest utensils, pans, and plates. Cooking was near impossible with the very dated appliances and thrift store cookware. We asked for extra blankets and pillows that felt they were from the 80’s. They provided only one garbage bag for the entire weekend. The door to one of the bathrooms was hung incorrectly and you had to struggle to shut it all the way. Jets in the soaking tub did not work. And to top it all off, the bathrooms weren’t completely clean when we arrived.
Again, service was great and amenities are very nice, but the rooms do not match the rest of the experience.
Rooms: Dumpster fires
Safety: Very safe environment
Walkability: Getting from one part of the hotel to another can be a bit clunky, but easy to walk for the most part
Food and drinks: Food and drinks were good from all areas we tried
Noteworthy details: Service and location are awesome
