We recently bought a bearded dragon and went to tropic waters for food for him. The staff there is so knowledgeable and kind and generous.I am very thankful for them.

Awesome experience shopping here! Knowledgeable friendly staff,, good variety of products and fish, decent prices! Only complaint is that I bought a fluval sponge filter, and it must've been stolen out of the box because it's box was empty! Left voicemail and awaiting remediatiton

Great store, except for the weird hours and volatile pricing. Multiple times I have come here right as they lock the doors. They have lost business more times than I can count from my husband and I alone due to their hours. They have good deals on enclosures a lot of the time but their animals are usually overpriced. $80 for a jumping spider? Come on guys.Edit: i think it's also worth noting that they sell animals to anyone. Just today they were selling a beautiful ball python to an uneducated customer. Customer was asking everything they needed to know after buying the snake which meant they did not have an enclosure set up already or knowledge of how to take care of said animal which i find to be greedy and unethical. This is only one example as well. I understand making money is important but better ethics should be in place.

Was good visit went looking for a certain animal found it and picked up a couple collars for the cats parking was clear store was clean many employees asked if I needed anything

Not great.. just dirty.. tanks are not stocked correctly.. fish are with predator fish… just not a good atmosphere..

I called to inquire about re-homing my 3 goldfish. I told the worker I had saved them from a tiny, unheated, poorly maintained pond that was left behind by people who had moved away and the fish were left to die. From the beginning the person I spoke to was incredibly condescending and lectured me for “stealing” these fish. She said that I could get in a lot of trouble for taking them and that I should put them back. I just wanted to find a place that would take them in and I most certainly didn’t need a scolding for saving them when they were left to die. I then spoke to a manager who wasn’t very nice either and decided I’ll find somewhere else to take them where I won’t be chastised. Their holier than thou approach to my inquiry was rude and unappreciated.
