Westgate Animal Hospital Inc
2135 N Clairemont Ave, Eau ClaireWhen I noticed my beloved 14 year old cat not being his usual cuddly and darling self and barely eating, I knew something was terribly wrong. I took him to Westgate Animal Hospital for an exam and prognosis. As soon as I checked in I started crying and the staff was immediately kind and understanding.
The Doctor performed an exam and gave me thorough diagnostic and treatment options, to which I elected to request a simple blood/kidney screen to confirm that he was ready to leave us. Once the results were in, the Doctor agreed with me that it was time to say goodbye today to end my cat's suffering.
The whole procedure and soft goodbye was gentle, compassionate and handled so gracefully by the staff and Doctor. I truly appreciate the way my wishes were handled and I was given the space to grieve my sweet kitty with dignity. This is something all pet owners eventually go through and I'm glad I chose Westgate Animal Hospital to give my cat a kind and humane crossing over the rainbow bridge. Rest in Peace Benito

2504 Mall Dr, Eau ClaireI worked for a veterinarian for many years when I was in my twenties and am very particular who I take my animals to. I saw good reviews of this clinic and have been going here for about 10 years now. We normally see Dr. Bohl but have also seen several of the other vets when she has not been in. Dr. Bohl treats you and your pets like family and truly cares about you and your pets. Recently had to put my senior cat Winston down and the EC Animal Clinic handles this with such finesse. This is the 3rd euthanasia I have been a part of at this clinic and they do it with such care and respect for you and your pet.
My cat Winston that just passed, had numerous health issues over the course of his lifetime and he had several dental surgeries as well as emergency care, my other cat recently was seen through the urgent care by Dr. Gooden. He was severly ill with Pancreatitis and she took extremely good care of him. I have had contact with several of the vet techs and they are all super friendly and professional.
Before switching to this clinic I compared prices and many clinics and they are all about the same when you average things out, what is not the same is the service and quality of care you will receive. Pretty much the entire staff knows me by name now and they are a great group of people. They care about animals and people!

She sent us a VERY detailed email after with a customized plan for our dog. Her strategies for building connection with our dog and information on how to help our dog decompress have been invaluable!

Did basic obedience training locally, took him out on field trips regularly but despite our best efforts, his fear and aggressive behavior towards people continued to get worse. We were ready to return him to the rescue. After several phone calls to find a trainer, we found Jen. She spent almost an hour on the phone to learn the specifics of our situation. We met in person and decided on a 3 week board and train. Waldo has been so much better since we have gotten him back. He is a much more confident dog. He still has times where he needs reassurance with people but those times are few and far between. He is much better on walks and we are no longer fearful of his reactions out in public. I cannot say enough about Jen and her staff.

I will also say that more classes will be taken after the 1st class. Was very nice and supportive of my journey with the training needed to become a service dog. It's not built for speed, instead it's meant to give each person and personal coffee shop experience. The furnishings and decor are unique and interesting. There are games and tables set up to encourage fun or relaxing.
If you have to wait for a table at Nucleus Cafe, you'll be directed here, since they are connected by a hallway (although it's a very circuitous route :)

The beer selection is varied and they change it up frequently so there's likely always something on tap to quench your thirst. Curds, wings, burgers, and more, all cooked well and plenty of seasoning. The waitress and staff were super kind and friendly. Sports on every TV there so no matter what game of ball you're into, they'll probably be broadcasting it. The snoop dogg gin & tonic was really good! Give it a try if you're into trying new things.
Wheelchair accessibility: As far as wheelchair accessibility goes, the parking lot and entrance are wide enough for a wheelchair and a little more, but the space inside seemed on the cramped side for a wheelchair or motorized chair. Like it could probably fit, but theres gonna be some fenangaling.
