I have been living with a hearing loss in my right ear and had many ear infections and dizziness. I was requested to get a hearing test, and instead of paying out of pocket at my ENT office, since my insurance does not cover hearing test, I decided to go to Miracle Ear in Eau Claire for a free hearing test. I was very impressed with the professionalism of Amber! Amber was very knowledgeable and she listened to all our questions and answered them in our language and not at the medical language! I now have my hearing aid, due to some hearing loss and I can now hear out of my right ear and it has helped with my dizziness and balance. Thank you Amber with helping me on my journey!!!

I finally bit the bullet and went to get my hearing tested. I've been struggling for a LONG time...tinnitus...clarity, etc. Started not wanting to go anywhere, movies, get-togethers, because just the thought of it filled me with anxiety. I was so sick of saying huh! what did you say! can you look at me when you're talking! and of course, reading lips. My job was affected, relationships because I was getting mad at them for either mumbling (which a lot of people do) not speaking clearly...on it went. My sister talked me in to going to Miracle Ear ( I did try amplifying devices, but that was worse) I didn't need volume, I needed clarity. I had my hearing test, spoke of my experience and Amber knew EXACTLY how I was feeling and understood me and how this gradual hearing loss has/was affecting my daily life. I had ear infections when I was little...listened to LOUD music, thus the ringing in my ears along with the hearing loss. I was so impressed with Amber's knowledge, showed me everything that was going on, how much hearing loss I had and really left the decision up to me. YES, expensive! But now almost a year later, I can't express how much my life, well being, attitude, emotional state, experiences out and about among people, feeling like I can go back to work and not get so anxious, etc.---- has changed! There was NO pressure, just the facts in front of me and how much better I could hear when trying the hearing aids at first. Amber was attentive, gave feedback with understanding of what I was trying to say that I couldn't put into words. Also, the tinnitus...., she programmed a "sound" that masks the ringing and it's unbelievable how much it helps!!! Bottom line, your hearing MATTERS for your being and your day to day life. You don't realize how your mind processes the loss over time and how that affects your daily life. I'm better than I've ever been at 63... Are there other options? Probably, but for me personally, this was the best investment I've every made for today and my future. Thank you Amber for all your help...only getting better.

Miracle Ear 3509 Gateway Drive, Eau Claire, WI required full payment at time of service. Despite being told that I contacted the insurance company prior to appointment and I know what the insurance payment will be and my maximum out of pocket expense, Miracle Ear estimated a lower payment from insurance and required a larger payment from me. Miracle Ear refused to honor their contracted Preferred Provider Discount with my insurance company and instead over charged me. Miracle Ear used a confusing hand written billing statement with numbers written over other numbers to calculate payment due. Miracle Ear did not provide an itemized billing statement, even after receiving payment from insurance company. Three months after the appointment I requested an itemized billing statement in person which they printed for me. The statement noted patient payment and insurance payment amounts with a note of an over payment of $1700 and in capital letters DO NOT REFUND UNLESS APPROVED BY ALICIA. When I asked about the overpayment, I was told that they were aware of it (for at least 2 months based on the date of the notation). No one contacted me about the over payment. I realized the over payment when I looked at the EOB from the insurance company. I asked for communication several times from Alicia, the insurance person for Miracle Ear, and she refused to call or email me. My insurance company said that we were over charged and tried to call Alicia only to be told, "someone is looking into it" and they never got a call back. Amber, the hearing instrument specialist, insists that they do not need to return the overpayment that they charged me over 4 months ago. Miracle Ear was upset that the insurance company paid MORE than they estimated and they charged me MORE because of their low estimate of insurance payment. They received $1700 more in payment (from insurance and patient) than they could legally charge for the service because of the Preferred Provider Discount, which they were contracted to honor, but refused. I'm sure they have over-charged other patients, but did not get caught.

Was there yesterday trying to get some help for a friend to get his $4,000. Hearing aids paired up with a new I pad he just purchased. No we didn't have an appointment which the lady said we needed to make. We live 70 miles away. First said she was busy with a customer snd we could wait. Then she gave us instructions on how to do it ourselves. While we were trying to figure it out she came back and said she couldn't do it because you needed Wi Fi and they didn't have it in the store. She wasn't rude but not helpful and apparently didn't want to be bothered. He will go back to the satellite office that paired up his I Phone in their office without any issues.

EXCELLENT INFORMATION, LOTS OF PATIENCE WITH AN EAR CANAL THAT IS DEFORMED. QUESTION: INVESTITGATING BLUE TOOTH FOR TV. HOW DOES THAT WORK WITH AN IN-EAR DEVICE?

I wasn't sure I really needed hearing aids, but my husband insisted I get tested. Life is so much better since I got them. I was very self conscious of how the hearing aids would look. My children & grandchildren didn't even notice that I was wearing them. They are comfortable. I felt that they were very expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for.Amber has been very helpful every step of the way. I hope to be able to continue working with her for years to come. These new rechargeable hearing aids are so nice. Not having to change batteries all the time makes life much easier. I would recommend them to anyone. Betty A

We can't say enough about the service from Amber and Robin. They go above and beyond, including house calls. When someone is older and can't hear, life can be unbearable. Their patience, especially when someone isn't in the best mood, is incredible to watch. For my mother, that is priceless. Thank you both!!!!!
