The manager I talked to was snotty. And they wouldn't give a mechanic who has over 20 years of experience a chance to mess with a transmission. I'm 44 years old and they wouldn't even pay me the same amount that I was making when I was 16. $14 an hour for over 20 years of experience working with tools in 2020.Then I decide to reapply 3 years later because they opened a new shop in a different city and their ad even said they were willing to train. I may not have much experience in transmission work but I have lots of engine experience. I was still willing to take a pay cut just to get my foot in the door. But they told me that they needed experience. So they lied in their ad and don't care about your experience or willingness to learn. I would not recommend them to anyone. Funniest part was the manager interviewing was not only late for the interview but acted like it was no big deal wasting someone elses time. Stay away from Mid-town Transmission.....

I thought I was having transmission issues and I wanted a professional opinion. I called and they got me right in. They did an inspection and it eneded up not being the transmission. He explained everything in detail and was so extremely nice and helpful. Its so hard in this day and age being a woman getting communication like we are a normal person. Most shops treat woman like we are d**** NOT THIS PLACE!!!!! I am so thankful for the help and the way I was treated! You guys are amazing.Services: Transmission

This is an honest shop! They don't perform unnecessary repairs. They even advised me to not buy a used car once, rather than let me buy it and charge me to fix it! Bullet dodged.

Midtown serviced my truck for a front differential issue. They had my truck for 28 days, no updates on progress/price. Charged me for labor/parts that didn't fix the issue. I do not recommend them for auto repairs.

I own a 2014 Ford Escape, 70,000 miles. The transmission went out on it and I had no idea who to call as I never had a vehicle worked on in the Eau Claire area.I called half a dozen shops within the area and after a day of speaking with each shop, Midtown gave me the fairest quote by far.I brought my vehicle to them and they did a free diagnostic, letting me know that it was in-fact the transmission needing to be replaced. From the time they took my car in, to having parts ordered and replaced within my vehicle, took less than two weeks.They do fantastic work on vehicles at honest prices whether a customer knows anything about vehicles or not. They do NOT take advantage of customers who lack vehicle knowledge.Thank you guys once again for replacing my transmission, you did a fantastic job and she drives like new!UPDATE: I have put 50,000 miles on my transmission and she still purrs like a kitten.

Great service, itemized & explained bill. There were freezing temps and I couldn't pick it up for a couple of days and they kept it inside the garage. It made for a comfortable drive home and I really appreciated it!

Had a transmission replaced. Was able to get an appointment pretty quick and the transmission was replaced relatively quick with a remanufactured one. Couldn't be happier with the outcome and the warranty as well. Great service! Would recommend to anyone who has transmission issues.

They do the work on the transmission themselves (instead of sending out where other places makes profit off work)very knowledgeable saved alot $ by going with them .they've done several jobs thru years very honest company
