If I could give zero stars I would literally had me on the dock for over two hours. They were supposed to call me and let me know they unloaded which they didn’t wasted my time which is very unprofessional of them.!!!

I ordered ten bags of soil for my garden from Menard's website. The site indicated that our local store had more than sufficient inventory to meet my needs. Three hours later, I received an email informing me that the soil was on backorder.As the end of May approached, I was forced to purchase soil from a different store so I could plant my garden. On May 27, Menards notified me that the soil was in stock and ready to be picked up. I contacted the company via email with a request to cancel the order, explaining that I had to purchase elsewhere due to the backorder.Menards issued a refund for the price of the soil. However, they would not refund the processing fee they charge for ordering online. The accompanying email read, "Your order has been canceled less the non-refundable processing fee, and your refund is now in process."I understand that inventory fluctuates and isn't necessarily updated in real-time. However, the customer should not be penalized for the store's inability to fulfill the order at the time of the transaction.Personally, I don't care about the processing fee in my case due to the fact that it was a small amount. However, the fee fluctuates depending on the items ordered. Potential buyers should beware before placing an order, especially if they have a time-sensitive project.

This 11% rebate should be advertised as a possible 11% rebate. Because it is very possible that you will never receive the rebate. This has happened to me now twice, not receiving my rebate. The last straw was purchasing a laundry pair and getting stiffed on that rebate. In a day and age where everything is done electronically, why can’t their rebate system? I imagine someone having stole a bunch of rebate checks and remodeling their home with it. Menards doesn’t care because it comes back to them. I cannot be the only person who feels 1) 11% isn’t a sale at all. 2) It’s a 50/50 shot you may get rebate check. I’ve seen this happen to a lot of people. It’s something that definitely needs to be changed.

I went to Menards design center to have them help me design a deck. The person I worked with was awesome, but the program Menards uses to tell you what products I needed to build my deck were WILDLY off.....12 post holes to be dug, 212 bags of concrete they sold me, then they are charging me to return it, and all the other extra stuff they told me I would need, and clearly didn't! Don't go here and get ripped off! $12,500 in materials I bought and paid for, and probably over $2,000 in stuff they told me I'd need and I don't. The Manager I spoke with, Tom *, was rude and condescending when I told him about my frustration, and refused to help me the the expense of the return. Totally took advantage of me, because if it was an honest mistake that they made, they wouldn't charge me to return the stuff! I trusted them, please don't make the same mistake I did....go somewhere else! - **** ********

Sent out rebates 3 months ago. Havnt goten anything back. I run a business so i get alot of my materials from there. Why have the rebates if you dont honor them.

My brother recently purchased a freezer from Menards in West Bend, Wisconsin. After only 2 months, the freezer malfunctioned and I lost an entire deer I had processed.Menards graciously replaced the freezer, gave him an unlimited 3 year warranty plus a $300.00 food replacement voucher if it should ever happen again.I wrote Menards corporate office a letter explaining I lost my entire processed venison and without question they wrote me a check for the entire processing fee.This kind of customer support/relations are almost unheard of in today’s times.Menards truly cares about their customers and have made several for life.Thank you Menards for raising the bar and going above and beyond. If I could give you 10 stars, I would in a heart beat!TDK
