They didn’t have window well covers in stock and so they encouraged us to buy part #020600902 which had to be ordered and had pictures showing the shape that should fit our window wells. We went ahead and ordered 1 to make sure it would fit okay and made sure measurements were correct. First we had poor and rude customer service at pickup, then when we got home we saw the quality was sub par and the shape was incorrect. The box was also open on both ends and has obviously been mishandled. When I went to return, the lady at customer service was rude and huffing and puffing every other word. She advised me then of the 25% restocking fee costing us $140. Thank goodness we didn’t order the 4 we needed, they would’ve charged us a $560 restocking fee. From this day forward, we will go out of our way and willing to pay more to avoid this place, and highly recommend staying away. The restocking fee is outrageous but understand it’s in the fine print, it’s the attitude we got from employees here and complete disregard for customer service that was so frustrating to deal with.

We recently purchased 75, 2x6x8 pressure treated boards. We went to pick it up & the young man working in the lumber yard stood there & watched as my husband & I loaded all the boards into the truck. It took us 30 minutes while he just stood there. We are both in our 70’s.

i called twice in regards to returning an almost 300$ carpet cleaner that i had used once, and had for a week. my dog chewed the cord & it stopped working. the first lady i talked too said i could print a receipt at the kiosk there & return it. i called again to ask about the box & how to return it without because it was beat up. he said i could not return it and went on a tangent about how to fix the cord. the cord is not long enough to fix the way he told me too i’d have less than a foot of cord length. i’m very upset that i could not return it because i spent a LOT of money on it & had it for less than two weeks. do better.

Awful customer service experience.Ordered cabinet doors. Was told it would take 2-3 weeks to show up and I would be notified when they do arrive. Never contacted in any form.Contacted the store, it was ready to pickup.Went to pickup the doors, associates were scrambling trying to find the items. Probably took about 20 minutes sitting at Order Pickup to get my items.Brought them home, one of the doors is badly damaged. Contacted store, an employee told me I'd have to pay a fee to return the item, even though Menards gave it to me damaged. Later that night a manager called me and said I could keep the door, and a new one will be reordered for me and I will be contacted in 10-14 days to pick it up. All is well, he described the correct door.Waited more than 14 days, not a single call. I contacted the store, they said it was ready to be picked up. Non-manager guy in Cab Apps told me to drop off the door even if the manager told me to keep the damaged one.I bring in the damaged door to returns. Took about 15 minutes to be printed off my special order slip to pick it up in back. Go to pick it up and what do you know, it's the wrong door! Was told to go BACK to returns to fix it, and that I may have to pay a fee...I go BACK to returns, took about another 10-15 minutes to be told I will have to wait another 1-2 weeks AGAIN to get the correct door. I was given my damaged one back in the mean time.I wasted over an hour of my time over the Store's mismanagement or miscommunication. Every time I shop at Menards and have an issue with an item my trust in them decreases.If I encounter another issue at Menards East I'm done with Menards. This experience has been the most frustrating shopping experience in my entire life.

Came here to pick up an online order for my brother. Went to the online pick-up area in the back of the store. Then, I was told to pick up the rest in the back. So I picked up part of the order, then had to head to the lumber warehouse to get the rest. Just to end up sitting there with my truck and trailer for easily 45 minutes to even get in the warehouse to pick it up. As a delivery semi was parked right in the middle, making it impossible to make the turn into the warhouse. Would have been nice to know I couldn't access it because of the delivery or, better yet, maybe have the stuff ready if the warehouse wouldn't be accessible. Unfortunately, I can't post a photo, or I would.

Nicole, front end manager, is fabulous. She took the time to investigate and persevere until the issue was resolved for my mother. Nicole was extremely professional and kind. Menards is fortunate to have her. A bright light for the store. Much appreciation to Nicole and Menards.

Manager Annette was really helpful today! I'm working on a project, and I rudely interrupted her hard at work to inquire about something. She stopped what she was doing and got everything I needed squared away. I've been to this loc quite a bit since moving here and it's a good team.

I don’t know why I ever bother going to Menards. I just spent an hour and a half looking for items for a building project, asked for help multiple times, and nobody seem to care. It was like I was invisible, and this is how it always is at Menards. It’s too bad Menards has a monopoly on the area because Home Depot is way better.

I needed to return and refund two items that I bought online from Menards. When the items arrived, it was immediately apparent that one of the items was defective, so I used Menards website to request an RMA and return shipping label. Jess V. in Menards Online Customer Service researched the purchase, and quickly facilitated my receipt of a FedEx Return Label. During the brief interim period between my request and my receipt of the return label, I discovered that the second item I had received was also defective. Both of the fragile items, Black Flag "bug zappers" had apparently been severely jarred during shipping. The tube in one of them was completely dark, and the tube in the other one flickered and buzzed. I replied to Jess V.'s email, requesting an amendment to the RMA, which would enable me to return both items with the label I had already received. Jess V. quickly accommodated my request to change the RMA, from 1 item to 2 items, so I could return both items in the original Menards shipping box, using the return label I had already received. I am very pleased with the excellent customer service provided by Jess V., and I will definitely buy from Menards whenever possible.
