Ever since YMCA took over Eau Claire Fitness, the place has gone way down hill in just about every respect... it is always dirty, the locker room stinks, the staff are like monkeys at a zoo just standing around offering no help, and last straw for us was when they refused my spouse (who is not a member) the use of the restroom. We are definitely NOT recommending this place to anyone. They have the attitude of "we have enough members, so we can do what we want". Wish Eau Claire Fitness had not sold out. They at least cared. These people do not. They just let the monkeys run the place... and very poorly!

I have been going to this YMCA since I was a child. Brought back good memories going swimming with my family and kids. The new universal hottub, sauna & steam room adults is a very nice addition.

Honest review after years of going here. Hours aren’t great but they work. Equipment is good. Gym and lifting is satisfactory. Pool is good but gross obviously. Sauna/steam room are rarely open so don’t even factor it into a decision of going here. 3/5 overall

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE ymca in eau claire. Very outdated processes and their after school program is terrible. Stear clear. Customer service is terrible as well!

Best place to be in the Chippewa Valley. A city is great when it has a thriving YMCA and our valley has 4 options. Chippewa Falls, EC downtown YMCA, Tennis Center EC and the EC Sports center the home of the best indoor Pickleball as well as Gymnastics facility.

Horrible sauna, broken down locker room, out of date pool, extremely old out-dated building and corridors throughout. It's like a maze with bad amenities and no natural light. I wish the community could invest in its public health sanctuaries more than this...Eau Claire is too big of a city and population to have such TRASH options to exercise and enjoy yourself in much needed active spaces. Half a star...

If you can not use the YMCA, I would do it. They seem to want to keep your money, even if you contact them more than enough time before hand. I had a situation where I accidentally scheduled my child for the wrong date, right after I emailed them, and was told they will not refund my money and they won’t credit it to a different day. I think it’s extremely unfair to keep people’s money, especially in a economy like this.

Fun place but when we asked for a raket ball they said bc we are not 18 we could not use it and we wanted the key to the kid Jim and they said we had to be 18 to use the KID Jim

My kids really love the gymnastics program here! I love they they get to regularly test and level up as they need to. Super happy my kids are part of ymca gymnastics. Staff is great and super caring and friendly.

Very good fitness options, very good childcare and hours, and good facilities that serve well even though the building has some years on it.

The ymca just informed me that a man can now say he is a woman and be allowed access to the female facility's. I will no longer allow my children in the ymca until they make children's safety their priority again. Right now, they care more about being woke idiots who care more about delusional men in dresses then they do real women. I have cancled my membership and I would think anyone who cares about the safety of thier children would do the same.

We needed to freeze our family membership so we could allocate those funds to something else we needed for a few months and either their system or staffs incompetence still charged our bank. Can't get ahold of anyone who is actually able to fix this issue and going to have to have the bank block all payments to them... Not only should this have not happened but someone should have been available to address and fix the problem promptly.

YMCA offers a variety of group fitness activities and aqua fitness activities. You can learn from personal instructors in the gym, you can register on the computer to see your fitness improvements and track your results. You can play tennis and do acrobatics by yourself and with a coach. You can take swimming lessons. You can get support of any kind, get nutritional advice, and take advantage of various programs for children and adults. I have been a Y Member since 1996.
