Have stayed here twice and loved what the rooms have to offer, plus it’s very close to a lot of restaurants and shopping.

We love most Candlewood’s for clean, comfortable and dog friendly policies. We have been to a few that weren’t what we are accustomed to and a few that weren’t dog friendly, but that is rare.

Nice place. Timer on the cook top stove is a great idea. Having to get into the shower to turn the water on before it warms up.. not so great. I recommend this location.

We usually bounce between Marriott and Hilton properties and have Lifetime Titanium & Diamond respectively at these, but did a status match at IHG last year and have been trying different chains under the IHG umbrella, with Kimpton being the favorite so far. We usually do Element, Residence Inn, or Homewood Suites for reference as we like having the kitchenette option, but also stay at fancier properties on business. This was our first stay at Candlewood and we were impressed: quiet, large layout with a kitchen (we got a 1 bedroom that had a proper door), classy dark wood accents, crisp sheets on a super comfy king bed with soft/firm pillow options & a good weight comforter, fantastic shower water pressure (I’m picky and this was literally the best shower setup we had on our month long trip of staying at above mentioned properties all over Midwest & South). Yes, leaning in to turn on the water sucks a little as another reviewer mentioned BUT after having water all over the floor at other glass shower setups at other properties, I get why they did it this way - no water leaks here! ?The open kitchen had a huge table for eating/working and apparently they have a loan locker for things like slow cookers and toaster ovens, which we didn’t try but is awesome. All employees we interacted with were friendly and helpful. There is a Texas Roadhouse within walking distance which we find to be always reliable no matter where or you can Uber/drive to downtown about 10 mins away. We didn’t mind the chain’s no breakfast policy as the room price was right and we’d rather cook it ourselves it get something to go elsewhere later in the morning. Johnny’s Steakhouse next door at the Holiday Inn serves breakfast at reasonable prices but we didn’t make the 10:30am cutoff.I’m short: this is likely your best hotel bet in the area, especially if you’re looking for longer stay/kitchenette. It might be more of a unicorn in the Candlewood chain as I tried to find another one in Milwaukee (our destination the next night) and they didn’t look anything like this one, but we’ll definitely be back here next time in the area! Kudos to the management & staff.

Kyra at the front desk is always on top of it. I stay here often for work and she has my key ready the second I walk in, knows my name and is always friendly and professional. She has handled bungled reservations made by my employer with class and hospitality. Rooms are clean, crispy sheets and nice comforter. Highly recommend staying here, it’s always pleasant.

We were a large group and had reserved 4 rooms. We had a couple of requests that were taken care of immediately. The front desk gal (Kira) was absolutely wonderful. It was her first WK alone and she was doing many things at one time but made us feel like we were her number one priority. Always smiling and kind. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a fun family weekend. The Flores Family.Rooms: All the rooms were nice and clean.Safety: We felt very safe.

Poor customer service. Standard room. As long as everything goes okay but did not have a good experience when it came to a complaint. Everyone in The hotel was informed that the fire alarm test were going to be performed in unoccupied rooms at 8am and at 10 am for occupied rooms, and a building wide test was at 2pm . The alarms went off at 8am and when we called we were hung up on. When my husband went downstairs to show the desk person the letter. The person at the desk said he is running an alarm test and could not help. It was really terrible and we literally had to get dressed in a hurry and get out there because it was so ear piercing in the entire building. Had to call corporate then gothung up at the corporate level twice before I got one person to say the a manager would call. Still did not get a call by the end of the day. So went down to the desk only to be told that a manager will not talk to us until monday. So I guess if your stay is not long they are okay but if you stay longer it probably is not a good idea. The motto of how they deal with complaints is to hang up on you. Zero star if I could. Not to mention when we got there the TV did not work for a day because it was raining and they have dish Network. All I am saying is there are many other options in this area.UPDATE: We finally got a call from the manager and they did offer us 1 night off the price. But I still would not go there because there are many other options. And they really don't respect sleep time after 8 am. Based on some other reviews on Google. Also they will not do house keeping unless you are there for a week so to get new towels and wash cloths you don't call to get them delivered, they require you to come down with your dirty towels to get fresh clean ones. Eww.for the initial response to my complaint I would like to point out that the owner stated that the han ups were accidentally the phone call to the lobby was not an accidental hang up because the when my husband came down to lobby to confront him he admitted he was the one that hung up on him very proudly. What kind of owner would approve hotel wide fire alarm test at 8am. Give me a break.

Nice newer hotel. Location in nice part of town but interesting route to get there. Carpet in room was dirty... no continental breakfast if that is important to you.

If this place had bathtubs or a hot tub it would be PERFECT. The room was comfortable, clean, with wonderful amenities and great dove products in the bathroom. The last little upscale gripe would be that they upgrade to smart TVs so guests can use a Chromecast method, otherwise very comfortable stay!

I have stayed at this hotel several times for work events / meeting my colleagues. Lauri at the front desk has been absolutely amazing and so genuine. It's hard not to leave without smiling - I will return here every time. Not to mention the hotel room is so nice for people who have to be there for work, the beds are comfy. The staff in general is so kind. Keep up the great work, and setting people up to have a great day! ~Kathryn
