The wait time is horrible, i waited almost 2 hours for a basic checkup. Once I met the doctor her exam felt very rushed to me. During my wait I could hear her talking to the staff and the things she was saying to her staff was really UNCOMFORTABLE and UNACCEPTABLE.

Overcharged and felt like I was being sold on every aspect of the visit and spent hours there. I honestly dont think anyone here has any perception of time and I was the ONLY person there. 2.5 hours into the visit I was just frustrated because I was just sitting in a hot exam room as I needed to get on with my day.
I said years ago I didn't want to come back here because the guy yelled at me for not wearing a mask after covid mask restrictions were lifted. He made me go wait outside while he did the exam on my dog and was very rude.
Fast forward to now...I thought Ill give them another chance. My dog had an upset tummy and wasn't going to the bathroom well and so they immediately jumped into lets run all these tests and RX a probiotic. I go in and that turned into a whole bunch of other tests which I didn't understand nor thought I was there for. I declined after MUCH back and forth and went home with a 230 bill and 10 probiotic pills.
A week goes by and I never got any update to the stool sample which I find out is negative. In the meantime I come to find out this over the counter probiotic you can buy on Amazon for 30 tabs for 15 bucks!
You know I would have appreciated when I called them saying this is a solution you can try AT YOUR RISK or we can run some test. Which would your prefer?
My dog was feeling perfect the following day after taking a couple of them and has been fine for a week now but wasted a bunch of money for nothing.

After many years of taking my dog here (almost 8), I’m happy we relocated out of Lake Country and can seek services elsewhere. The three years have been incredibly challenging at Delafield Small Animal Hospital.
I don’t mind spending hours at a single appointment because they are understaffed and busy. What I don’t like, is the short visit and being rushed after waiting for so long. My dog is always taken away from me (to the back) for blood draws and anything else.
Years ago when I was informed that she has autoimmune disease, I told the Small Animal hospital and hoped they could work with us on her care. That’s not what happened. So many visits of giving her meds and placing her of vet recommended Science Diet. I won’t start on how horrible that brand is…. I worked with Science Diet many years ago in marketing. That food is downright toxic. Look at all the dogs that died from it.
They have absolutely zero interest in considering any type of holistic approach. If you don’t purchase directly through them or get exactly what they prescribe, it’s a big deal. If I see a doctor that treats me that way, I’m out the door. Patients should be given a variety of options as well as alternatives. Especially when they have auto immune disease. Staff are honestly kind, but my visit the doctor was incredibly rude and disrespectful.
I have a disability (TBI) and memory loss. The doctor lectured me for not remembering something he shared. He made a remark about my memory. I told him I have a disability and memory loss and he chuckled.
I contemplated sharing this... The Small Animal Hospital was running a special for dog washes. I thought why not. My dog has been there for so many years and is comfortable so why not get a wash in-between the grooming. Long story short, we were charged an insane amount for the wash. It was double the cost of one grooming for her. To make matters worse, she was there all day. The entire day that they were open. We were told she was severely matted and that she wasn’t being groomed properly. Our groomer is one of the best groomers in the state. It was such an insult to hear that.
5 years ago I would’ve praised this place for their attention, love/caring demeanor and diligence at appointments. They have gone downhill and it is time to go to a place where we are

Just lots of yelling, and a strong lack of professionality.

Positive - The vet seemed knowledgeable. The place was very clean. Negative - The wait was unbelievably long. The examination was done in the back, not in the room you are in. I definitely didn't like that.

Found a dog. Went for them to check for a chip. They found the chip not registered . All was taken care of, owner found chip registered. It was a great outcome.

Very compassionate about their animals especially if you lose one.

The staff were very nice and Dr. Osgood was great at explaining what was going on with my pet rabbit. Would recommend the place, but they can be busy (for good reason).

Unbelievably terrible experience.Fleas were missed as the cause of a skin infection of an animal I adopted, and that ended up costing me over a grand to deal with the infestation of my place and my folks in spite of my bringing the cat in to be looked at before bringing it into my house. They then later claimed to lose my file when I needed it for insurance (which can only mean they are still using paper records, which I think is appropriate for how archaic and backwards the whole experience ended up). Also, it is extremely uncomfortable being in the office when the doctor is yelling at what could only be high school kids. I am happily driving further for better service

The receptionist over the phone is very personable and have a great drop off pick up service for pets, but make sure you ask what the charge is for everything they mention. The fixing of my gerbils teeth was supposed be $40, but expanded to $120 after asking if it included a check up or anything. I attributed this to a communication error, but she also upsold nail clipping on the gerbil as if it was part of the package, not only to be charged for it, but the the poor gerbil's claws, by all appearances, were bloody and he clearly in pain when I got home. I expect the vet to do it safely or not at all. He won't grab on to anything, not even sunflower seeds, and for those that have a gerbil know that's pretty crazy.I will be demanding for a refund on this visit since, while they hopefully fixed the teeth (I can't verify this at the moment), they mangled his hands and feet with an unnecessary procedure sold to be safe to me, who knows if I can trust them for the test of the visit.I do not recommend this place for gerbils due to quality of service and shady business practice.

Called to set up an appointment to get a hedgehog’s nails trimmed, and Katelyn who answered the phone was very rude and sounded as if she didn’t want to be bothered with such a small request. Very unhelpful and condescending when trying to find a time that would work with a busy work schedule and during office hours of their exotic vet. Customer service was almost non-existent. If that’s the first impression of a business, I can’t imagine what the service is actually like. Let her know that she didn’t have to be so rude, and that I would find someplace else for this to which she replied “okay thank you”.

PSA: On 10/2/2021, when calling to get a non-clinical (drive-thru) appointment for a Cytopoint shot we were informed that the operating hours as defined are "not actual" and that we would not be able to get appointments past 4:00 PM on weekdays (12:00 on Fridays) or at anytime on a Saturday since Saturdays were being reserved for "emergencies only". Unfortunately, as working adults, we are going to have to switch veterinary services. Disappointing, to say the least...
