Cushing Elementary gave me the most amazing school experience that I will never forget. I had a great group of friends that were kind, caring, loving, and there for me when I needed them most. I also had the most amazing teacher anyone could ever ask for.... DRUMROLL :::MR. PAGE:::!!!!!!!! I loved him so much and I still do! I would have never been able to get through 2nd and 3rd grade without him! I was so glad he decided to move up to 3rd grade with the 2nd graders. I always enjoyed going to school everyday, even though I didn’t show it. I wish I did show it because I’m so great full fir the experience I got to have at Cushing Elementary! I did get in trouble quite a lot, and I regret that, and wish it wouldn’t have happened. I miss Cushing more than anything... and when I first moved after 3rd grade to Minneapolis, I cried every night for 365 days. No school ever could replace the experience I got there. Now after 2 years and me being in 5th grade, I understand what it feels like to miss a place more than you could have ever imagined.~Kailei Ann Marie MichaelsonAKA an X- Cushing Elementary Star?

We have one child enrolled in this school, and another one has already moved on to middle school. From the principal, Mrs. Toetz, on down to each individual teacher, we have been just blown away by the commitment and skill level of educators at Cushing. The overall curriculum is very strong and aggressive, and we understand this to be the case across KMSD. This may be challenging for some children. But there is the willingness to flex and work with individual students and parents to accommodate different learning styles and barriers.Thanks in large part to the creative thinking of the teachers and academic staff, we have seen both of our children develop new faculties and skills that they may not have achieved in a less welcoming, proactive and focused learning environment.There is a real family environment in this school -- that is how deep the level of caring and acceptance children feel seems to go. Highly, highly recommended.
