They come by their low stars honestly - stay away from this bank - they are in no way customer oriented.

I have a joint mortgage with my husband and they won't let me access my tax documents online even though WI is a community property state. It doesn't matter that I was the original customer 35 years ago, my paycheck is the direct deposit, and they have no problem accepting my house payment each month, etc. We also have an excellent credit rating and wanted to refinance our home equity (we owe half of what our house is worth) and we received a denial. We're starting to move accounts to a bank that appreciates us.

I have been banking with Associated since 1997. I had a weird month with extra expenses I was not expecting. I had a few transfers from my savings to my checking to cover the extra expenses. I then received a notice that if I make any more transfers they would be at 6.00 each! So you want to charge me to move MY money from one account to another? I called and spoke to a personal banker that assured me I was told this when I opened my account. I can assure you I wasn’t, and would like the bank to prove I was, as this was not a policy over 20 years ago. She was on the brink of being rude. I am now shopping for a new bank that will be happy to have me as a customer, as associated is not. I also was called in to the bank a few years ago to sign up for a no- fee checking account due to my tenure and keeping a consistent balance with them. So much for no fee checking. My children also have checking accounts with them. The accounts will never gain one penny of interest since they are child accounts, no matter the amount of funds that are in them. Awful bank with awful service! But, I bet the moment I go in to close my accounts, they will sing a different tune to get me to stay. Which I won’t.

Associated Bank likes to charge $9 "service fees" each month when the account isn't used regularly. The Branch Manager at De Pere was ZERO help and had no interest in helping me get at least some of my money back. Needless to say, closed my account right away and will never bank with them again. If you want a place that takes care of their customers, this isn't it.

ASSOCIATED BANK IS THE WORST BANK ON PLANET EARTH. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS MONEY, AND HAVE THE STUPIDEST PROTOCOLS THAT SURROUND EVERYTHING THAT HAS TO DEAL WILL YOUR OWN MONEY!!!

Good customer service, inexplicably slow! Minimum of 10 minute wait if anyone else is in a lane. Slowest banking I've ever experienced.

What's the point of being loyal to a bank if they can't even extend a line of credit to their loyal middle class customers when they can visibly see that they can afford it by the income deposits? Seems like the only people Associated Bank want to do is business with is the people who are already rich. I don't understand it because I can get credit extended to me from other companies but Associated Bank denies me. I guess it's time to find a new bank or maybe it's time to go to a credit union...

Always seems understaffed at this location. ZERO privacy so if you want everyone else next to you hearing everything you say and what money your getting in cash then please go here so everyone knows your business as your words echo throughout the whole place. How many more times do I have to tell people NOT to count money out loud for everyone else to hear. Missing Bank Mutual.

Today I went into the Bank inquiring on getting a loan. My home had a fire on Mother's Day and was declared a total loss. I have insurance. Due to the insurance process it takes some time. I have been with Associated for over 10 years. I was looking to secure a loan to purchase a camper as my home at this time. I informed Id#1656932 of my situation and that I was looking to get a loan, which I would gladly repay as soon as my insurance issued there check to me. He informed me that he had to get a 3rd party in on this and called #1457795, that was a mess, phone system couldn't do speaker. I explained my situation to him. He explained the interest rates. He couldn't help me though unless I had a VIN#, contract of bill of sales and it would take them 7-10 days to let me know if they would be able to help me. By that time the camper would possibly be sold. Never mind his condiscending way he was talking me. Since I have never had a problem with the bank in the past with my personal banking or my business banking I honestly have to wonder if my disability affected this situation.

Staff are always so friendly. If you're a regular, they know you by name and make it easy to transact.
