Not a fan. In town for a nearby triathlon which needs an early / good night of sleep and the front desk gave me a room right above BB Jacks live music. Asked the girl at the front when it ends, she says “I don’t know. That’s a question for them.” Really poor attitude and customer service - even at check in. No smile. No welcome.If you’re booking anyway as this seems to be one of the only places in town ask for an ODD numbered room and avoid the BB Jacks side.

Rooms: Rooms are nice enough.Safety: They have ada accessible rooms if you ask for them.Walkability: Walkabout is fine so long as you don’t need to cross the street for the coffee shop.Food & drinks: There’s a bar and grill right under the north side rooms. I was in the second floor on the weekend and it was pretty noisy. During the summer they have live music outdoors. There’s also a pretty decent Mexican restaurant at the northern end of the building complex. The bar and grill has a veggie burger and the Mexican joint has vegetarian options and nice mixed drinks. Across the street is a great coffee shop. Within a walk is four fast food options.

First time visiting this location! I had a unique circumstance where we booked for family so upon checkin I explained the situation and Yvonne at the front desk took the time to understand the circumstances and accommodate! It was so easy even though it took us a little time to make it work. Even with shift change she made sure they knew the situation to make things easy after a long few days of traveling! She checked in with us on how the room was when we left and worked with us yet again! The following day, she was there to greet us as we arrived to see family and she knew us and checked in again to make sure everything was good! I’ve stayed at many hotels over years and decades and by far Yvonne was the most exceptional front desk personnel EVER! Thank you!!The hotel itself is newer and the room is big and bright and convenient to the highway as well as restaurants and fast food and gas station.I often think of this hotel group as a place for workers doing a job in the area - basic accommodations at a good price. This location is so much more! The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the pool wasn’t overly cold and the area was cleaner than most! The whole place was clean and inviting!All hotels could learn by example from Comfort Suites Cottage Grove! Remarkable! When we visit family it just feels like home! Thank you!!!Rooms: Spacious sunny well lit inviting room! So many rooms are small and dark and that’s fine - often people are just there to sleep so that’s great. This place offered a room that was bright and sunny and comfortable and plenty of space for all the kids and grandkids to visit!Safety: Totally safe in a business park in a good neighborhood. Perfect!Walkability: Kwik Trip and a restaurant right next door!Food & drinks: I didn’t have the complimentary breakfast since I only visited during the day. Heard it was good! Also they share an outdoor space with the neighboring restaurant/bar. Beautiful patio there with fire pits and outstanding service both times we went! Amazing!

New n modern. Check in process was ok. Pool tiny - half size of other motels. Hot tub very nice though.

They have bugs and don't seem to care.We had two different rooms in this hotel and both had bugs. I don't know what kind of bugs they were, but we took pictures, notified the front desk, and asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else.The woman at the front desk had a nasty attitude and was completely unwilling to help us. She didn't care that we found bugs and didn't even bother to send anyone up to check.It took about an hour and a call to customer service just to get our money back so we could go somewhere else.The fact that the bedding and mattresses looked new and fresh, and that the woman at the front desk was completely unphased when we told her there were bugs, made me think they were well aware of the problem.We ended up staying at the Marriott 10 minutes down the road and had a much better experience.

Wonderful place to stay! Great night sleep!Rooms: Very clean and comfortable! Best beds in cottage grove.Walkability: Nice Kwik Trip across the parking lot, to get late night snacks.

Newer hotel with the nicest staff. edit, even after years of staying at this hotel it still is my go to hotel. hot tub is always running and clean, rooms are always immaculate and the staff is always on point. feels like. 300 dollar stay at around a hundred??

Just your basic hotel.Rooms: It’s worth noting that the “suite” had a pull out sofa, but no wall between it and the beds, so no privacy if you had someone sleeping on the sofa.Also, while the room darkening shade works quite well, it’s kind of hard to find! It’s behind the other shade, and tucked up behind the valence so you have to look for the pull chain to know it’s there.
