There are a lot of things to celebrate in Columbus and its surrounding communities. When doing so, please give second thoughts about helium balloons. As fun as they are, beware of just randomly letting them float away. Sooner or latter the parts fall. Birds get tangled in their strings and die a slow grueling death. The plastic is also harmful on the environment and sometimes fatal to livestock, pets, and wildlife if ingested. Remember, it's Wisconsin, so please party "Wisconsibly".

Love Columbus but any shops downtown close 3-4pm on the weekends. What the hell. If you want any business maybe stay open until atleast 6. I was born and raised in sun prairie so it's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle but seriously... Everything is closed so damn early. If it weren't for old folk idk how any of them would stay open.

I am always impressed by the people and the surrounding neighborhoods in Columbus. Drive by Columbus and you would think it is like any small community in America. There are older buildings that are quaint and yet well kept so they look stylish. What seperates Columbus from similar communities is the people. Stop there and eat. Go to the aquatic center. Spend some time looking around. The people are what makes this typical Midwestern town special. I highly recommend visiting Columbus, Wisconsin.

I've lived in the area for fifteen years. I quit spending any money in Columbus because of the road conditions in and around the City. In my opinion, they are some of the worst in Wisconsin. The City doesn't seem to care I think, as they don't' seem to do any repair. I try to avoid the City for this reason. And there isn't much there for me as far as shopping. Haven't found any good food myself. I don't eat in Columbus, for the reason stated above. The local merchants loss.. The only thing worth seeing, in my opinion is the Antique Mall. Other stores in town have antiques, but never seem to be open! Fun to window shop, but the windows haven't changed in the entire time I've been here, I think. Better call first. The Amtrak Holiday Train stops here. The train offers locals to contribute food to the food panty in town. Google it! A great experience! People also seem to enjoy the Fireman's Park events.

Just moved to the area and have been a resident for three weeks and WE LOVE IT, a perfect hometown feel. I love seeing the children outside playing in our neighborhood, not inside playing video games. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to start exploring the town a little more and enjoying the classic down town! and i'd like to say thank you to the awesome staff at True Value who have helped us in finding the perfect items for our new home! I can honestly say we LOVE the City of Columbus, WI!
