ZERO STARS!!!! A favorite Lake Wissota boating destination for 20+ years is no longer pet friendly since a snooty camper association bought it out when the old owner died. Go to The Edge instead. The patio at The Edge is pet friendly!

This review pertains to the bar only. Captain Ron leases and runs the bar. One of the few bars on Lake Wissota accessible to boats. We were pontooning and needed a beverage and potty break. We pulled up to the dock @11:00 am. Walked up to the door to find out they don't open until noon. Disappointment set in. On the way back to the boat the resort owner said she was sure that Ron would open early for us. She knocked on the door, spoke to him, and sure enough, he welcomed us into the bar. Gotta love northern Wisconsin hospitality. We ordered drinks. Mine was a Bloody Mary. He served it in a glass with their homemade mix. Then he set a caddy of mix of spices on the bar so that I could customize it. Awesome. We vacation in Chippewa Falls every year. We always stop at the Mallard for cocktails. You should do the same whether by boat or car. Captain Ron is accommodating and very friendly. We enjoyed the time in his bar.

Very small but friendly people. Was able to hook up with some regulars that were camped around us. Very picturesque rivers and lakes. Did a tour of the brewery which was nice as well.

A super friendly area. The bar is great and has a welcoming cozy vibe. And you can finish the night sitting out at the tables and watch the sun set on the river.

Clean resort with some camping spots. On the river. Small bar. Playground area. Clean restrooms/showers. Beautiful overlook of the river.

Great outta the way place in the summer, but it would be nice if they stayed open later in the fall.
