Great place to bike and hike, and there's even a campground for longer stays. The lake is absolutely stunning. Definitely worth a visit!

Would get five stars except for noisy RV generators nearby. Next time we'll camp surrounded by tent sites.

Nive park. The main road is freshly paved and very nice. Deep campsites in the campground. The Old Abe state trail is close by.

Very disappointed in bathrooms. Said they were cleaned often but same mess was there the entire weekend. Definitely cutting corners (probably due to lack of staff). 4 female and 4 male showers for the whole entire campground.. seems a little ridiculous. Plus the bathroom was muddy and wet CONSTANTLY even though there was no rain. Beach leaves something to be desired. No good camp store.

Great camping areaLots of trails to bike, walk or horse back. Campsites are well kept. Only flaw is shower facility. I'd be willing to bet prison showers are probably cleaner. They're remodeling soon I think. But I beleif they could keep it cleaner until then.

PARENTS OF SMALL KIDS! THIS IS POISON IVY CENTRAL! It's not just at the edge of campsites like most state parks, it's IN them too! There's NO attempt to control it! I managed to get it and I have no idea how, I was very careful!Other important information: the host for 2023 is on a power trip handing out "citations." The rules are the rules, I get it. But she handed ME a citation for my NEIGHBOR'S generator, after asking me if she was hearing a generator, and then treating me like I was making stuff up when I said I don't know what the noise is, I'm hard of hearing and I'm camping in a tent. My hearing aids were clearly visible. I don't know what power trip Sue was on but if you're going to hand out a citation, you should give it to the actual OCCUPANTS of the campsite, NOT the people who are visiting, and if you know it's a generator, don't play games. If you're asking, you should go see if what you're hearing is a generator. And someone should teach her you NEVER accuse someone of faking a disability. The lake was in very poor condition as well, with blue-green algae, and MOTOR OIL from whatever vehicle they used to groom the sand.

Very nice campground. Lots of space available. Requires a recreation pass on top of camping fees which can get expensive.

Stopped by for a quick walk on our way to the twin cities. Nice and quiet with the standard amenities. We didn’t stay over night but it’s certainly nice for a day visit.

Beautiful park with great camping facilities. Don't plan on swimming due to the beach covered with geese and blue green algae. Nice hiking trails and kayaking or boating opportunities.

I grew up very near this park and have spent an enormous part of my life on the trails, in the woods & waters of this park. I still come back to camp at least once a year & I love this beautiful place. This morning I was horrified to see the state of the roughly 2,000 year old Native American panther mound in the park. The mound is a treasure, part of the place's history, and has laws protecting it for those very reasons. It is now a massive brush pile. The workers trampled all over the mound itself. I am sickened by the utter lack of respect or care of this ancient, sacred place. It is not the 1st time the staff has broken the protection laws for mounds! I am contacting the sup today, as well as a number of state agencies, mound protection groups & local tribal members for help. This is not acceptable. Lake Wissota State Park - do better!
