Dr. Khan is hands down one of the best vets. He's very kind and has always been very gentle with my dogs. The cost I've always had was very affordable. I highly recommend Dr. Khan and his staff at their chetek location.

Today I am very upset with the animal hospital of Chetek and its staff at both the rice lake location and the Chetek location. My dog was scheduled for a bite check per state requirements. I have a text that said rice lake location, I had gotten a call yesterday confirming rice lake location, so my husband took our dog to the rice lake location today, which is an additional 20 miles one way for us. However our dog was not seen because the appointment was in Chetek, talk about miss communication between the two.
I called the Chetek location and demanded remedy for the additional mileage and getting her in asap, as this was on the clinic not on us, I was also asking questions about how this had happened. I was informed during that call my dog would no be being seen for this appointment. After a while of getting off the phone I received a call from the rice lake location, I was told her other appointment was canceled because I had been rude to staff as they were trying to get her fit her in. I did not curse at the person I was talking to either time, but continued to ask questions about how this had happened and demand a remedy because now my husband would be driving back home, total of 80 miles for an appointment they told us was in rice lake, and then back to chetek at a different time when they would be able to get her in.
I’m sorry there is miscommunications going on, however that is not on me. One person tells me they won’t be rescheduling her appointment because I’m questioning why this happened and demanding a remedy. The next tells me they were going to fit her in and that they are canceling her appointment. I’m very disappointed in this place as it is one thing to own up to your mistakes and fix them, it is a completely different issue when I’m being told I was rude for asking questions and demanding remedy and then be told they weren’t going to reschedule then told they were going to.
I have asked to speak to Dr. Khan as this is the business he owns because I believe
That the mistake could be remedied by reimbursing us the mileage we drove today for an appointment in rice lake that was supposed to be in Chetek and seeing our dog. However, I have read reviews where he just simply will not respond to requests for calls when there is an issue.
Th e downfall is we can be fined for not completing these appointments, which we have had scheduled since I spoke with the county health department. And it was not our mistake for going to rice lake when that is where we were told our appointment was.
It was not our fault I was told originally to at they would not be rescheduling her appointment even though they told us the wrong location. It is not rude to ask questions, or even demand remedy. I did not swear, which now I wish I would have since they canceled her appointment for next week.
This is a poor business model, to not remedy a mistake made on the businesses behalf but instead punish the animals owners.
Also worth mentioning rice lake told him to get an extension as they wouldn’t be seeing her before her next appointment…

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Khan and all he has done for our family and pets. We have gone to Dr.Khan for years and he is the most amazing and caring vet. Through the good times and the hard times he’s been there for us and I am so very thankful for him!

If I could give no stars, I would. Recently I called to check the cost of a senior blood panel for my cat, which Dr. Kahn had seen before. Prior to this in the last couple of years, I took another cat there, this one seen by a female vet that is no longer there. She misdiagnosed him, gave him strong antibiotics that tore his gut apart for months. Then he was prescribed steroids that he didn't need. After we gave him half of a pill, it nearly killed him. I called Dr. Kahn, he said it was the progression of the disease (the one he actually did not have).
She told me he would die from what he had. Took him to another vet, he made a different diagnosis, gave him some different medicine, and he's been fine ever since. On one of the visits to this female vet, I was told what the office call would cost, it was less than a regular call, as she said it was an ongoing issue with this cat. When I got the bill, the office call was the normal price, not discounted, so I questioned that, nicely I might add. Fast forward to my recent call asking for the senior blood panel cost. I was informed me and my pets are banned from the clinic, because I questioned that previous office call price! Where am I? What's happening? So unless you plan on not making a peep about anything related to your pets visit to this clinic no matter what happens, I would make my appointment elsewhere. I must add to this review after seeing the vets reply to this review, I absolutely NEVER cursed at the staff, that is a lie!!! By the way, I think it's horrible that you took the cat that was badly hurt in the tornado and amputated both back legs, so now it's life is dragging itself around in your office, and being catheterized to be able to pee. Don't try to tell everyone that the cat is happy with its life now, that's BS. The humane thing to do would have been to help that cat go to heaven.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Khan and Healthy Pet Animal Hospital. From his emergency care of our daughter's bird while she was on vacation, another emergency visit for our pup who wound up aspirating lake waves, countless routine and wellness visits and most memorable, his incredible sensitivity and care while putting down our beloved collie ... this is the kind of vet care you want. Don't hesitate. Thank you, Dr. Khan and associates! <3

Dr. Kahn and the staff were incredibly kind to me as I found out that my dog was diagnosed with a mass in her stomach. Dr. Kahn knew immediately what was wrong, and gave me all the options and took our situation seriously. I will always appreciate the way he treated us on that day. I look forward to working with him the future for all of our dogs.

I am very happy with how our Baby Girl is treated there. She is a very anxious puppers, and they treat her as such.
She has severe separation anxiety, and all staff help her when we need to leave her.

Our family has been patients of Dr.Khan for 6 years now. We have had laughter and tears together. Thru it all, the staff and Dr. are THE most amazing people you could ask for. They treat your “pets” like you would, as family members. I am so grateful for them.
Your family members are in great hands with this facility. The Dickinson crew.

My dog was ill, and they worked her into the schedule. They explained options and their recommendations. They took care of her, and their treatment was a success.
