We decided to pay a premium price to get a premium product and service. It didn't happen. After waiting 3 months for a bedroom set, it arrived with a damaged dresser they never brought off the truck the response from customer service was in acceptable. The one dresser that did arrive has drawers that are misaligned. Buyer beware.

Yet another horrible experience at Penny Mustard:After being greeted by a sales rep who never provided their name, we asked a single clarifying question about the specific chair and ottoman we came in to purchase that day. The rep disappeared for roughly 10 minutes to "check on that" and then walked by while actively helping other customers (that arrived after us) and said in passing that he "didn't think" the option we wanted wasn't available, but was "still checking". 15 minutes later, after two new groups of customers came in and were helped, I stood in front of "our" rep who was now staring at a computer screen. 2 minutes later he asked, "Did you need something?".Rubin's in Madison not only found the correct information in less than 2 minutes, but saved me roughly $2,000 on a $6,500 purchase this time around.Apparently, for two years in a row, spanning over $20k in furniture purchases, my money isn't green at Penny Mustard.

From my purchase experience I would not recommend this company. After purchasing a kitchen table for them, the item arrived with serious flaws. Customer service said it was likely due to humidity and I should wait. I waited a year and the strips of wood that extended past the finished edge of the table did not recede. I called again and they said they would make it right. I figured they would pick the table up and repair it but when the service people came out he just took a magic marker and painted the edges of the wood strips. I commented that this is not how the table looked in the showroom but he did not care and said that was all he could do. Be very careful with this company and examine what they deliver before the delivery people leave as you may need to send it back which is what I should have done.

This is the most racist stereotyping store and staff (Ann Schraufnagel) that I have ever had the horrible experience of come in contact with in my life. I visited this store to purchase a 16k bedroom set. The sales person questioned me twice could I afford the bedroom set. Then tells me she needs 25% down to order the bedroom set for ME, I later find out that this is not the case, the store requires the sales tax to be paid on custom orders along with approval. Then when I asked for a color sample to take home and return she wanted to charge me 29.99 and told me it was a wine holder. So when you spend 16k and want to confirm the color you have to purchase a board with a hole it for 29.99. Oh I forgot to explain, I showed up in dirty sweat pants and shirt. Clearly she stereotyped me because the next day when I returned she didn't recognize me and told me a completely didn't story. I'm pretty if I was black she would ha e called the cops on me. Don't waste your money with this type of store, just boycott them from any future sales.

We are disappointed in the quality and customer service at Penny Mustard. We bought a swivel glider leather chair here in 2012 for a lot of money. First the back of the chair started to not come all the way back straight when not reclined. Then the chair started to lean to the left, and now a metal support bar completely broke off of the frame and it's unusable. We were unhappy but we thought it would all be handled with their great warranty. I talked to Dan at the customer service center and he said the mechanism has only a 5 year warranty, and leather only 1 year. He said it would be expensive to fix but he would contact the maker and get back to me. Three weeks went by with no answer so I decided to toss the chair, but my parents wanted to maybe fix it. So my Dad contacted Dan and he LIED and said he got back to me with a price which he DID NOT. He told my Dad the repair would be $360 for parts, plus $100 for labor plus tax. So almost $500 to fix a "lifetime warranty chair"? Dishonest people and sketchy warranty, save your money and go somewhere else!

Stop contacting me. I don’t know how many times I have to ask you to remove my contact information from your systems. Your employee Jane Brozoski continues to ignore my requests. I don’t want you to call me. I don’t want you to mail me letters. I WANT YOU TO STOP. If I could give you 0 stars, I would. I don’t want to buy your furniture. I will never buy your furniture. Enough already.

I purchased furniture from Penny Mustard 3 years ago. I have waited to right a review because I wanted to see if any issues arose with the furniture and, if so, what sort of customer service would I receive. Well, there have been a couple issues, all minor and all fixable, and I will tell you... the response, the support, the follow up, and the detail to resolving our furniture issues has been ideal. There is no run around, no excuse, no delay in follow up, no cutting corners on repairs, no attitude - their customer service, their kindness, and the warranty they offer far exceeds any other company I have ever purchased from ( we have been home owners for 30 years and have lived in a few states so we have purchased several times from several companies). If you think their prices may be a bit high, I can tell you, the quality of the furniture (we bought all Smith Brothers - 4 sofas, 2 chairs, 1 loveseat and 1 ottoman) and the quality of the customer service is well worth it.

Went to have look around. Found 2 throw pillows with no price on them, waited 15 minutes for assistant to find a price, gave up waiting and left. They have nice stuff I just think it's over priced even though they have videos telling you the sell at the lowest prices ?. Lovely product., but not at those prices and delivery is extra.

Can't say enough about the quality of the products at this place. They speak for themselves and the 400 years warranty is pretty funny, but I actually believe some of their items such as the solid wood without mechanisms just might last that long! Love the professional delivery service and information provided for future care.

My husband and I have shopped here a fair amount of times for furniture. Everything was always excellent until we brought our son. The employee make a couple comments to us and our toddler that made me not want to go back. Love their furniture. They have an excellent selection and their warranty is amazing. I just won’t be shopping there for a while, if we go back. I would recommend if you have small children to not bring them along.

Beautiful expensive furniture. Good if you have the money. You can select the finish and the type of wood used. I was looking for a bedroom set. Loved what I saw.
