My wife and I realize that it is Saturday and following a major snowfall and that the store would be busy. Having said that, it doesn't matter what day of the week, whether it snows or not; this store like other Metro Markets only keep ONE lane open with an actual live cashier. We stood in a line at least 10 carts deep waiting for the SELF-CHECKOUT t(of which there are 8-10 registers open) to become available. (The lone staffed checkout was at least 15 carts deep, blocking shelves to accommodate the shoppers in line.) Since Kroger took over from Roundy's it seems to have gotten worse! Please, please, PLEASE open more staffed register lines!!!

My wife went by to pick up something quick. Had to go somewhere else. Sign on the door said will open limited hours due to difficulty getting staff. This store is getting worse on a monthly basis. Seems all the local Pick and Save locations have figured it out. Metro Market rumor on the street is it will be closing.

It sucked, I waited to self check out today and it almost took me a hour to check out. I just saw some employees just doing circles around the store and they need people to check us out

This location in Brookfield Wi is getting worse and worse. GOODBYE! Sat AM, one cashier line open, 8 baskets in line, and half the self-checkout closed. Needed gift cards, the customer service desk was closed and this was 4 hours before closing. Mgmt has been saying they can't find workers for quite some time now. Go to Woodnams, easy in and out and prices way better. Go to Pick and save Pewaukee. Clean, open, staffed at customer service, bright and a much better option. Metro Market Brookfield is dated, poorly managed, pricey and a poor customer experience. on site management doesn't care!! Avoid this store. Lots of better options.

Just picked up a "custom" birthday cake for a little girl. I gave some general ideas over the phone when I placed the order. But I'm blown away by how ADORABLE this cake turned out. The birthday girl will love it!

Ever since Kroger took over the Pick and Saves and Metro Markets, the quality and service has taken a nose dive, to the point that I will no longer shop there. No check out lanes, except for self checkout. I have even heard from store employees of their own dissatisfaction working in their invironment.

I went back to Metro Market to exchange a half gallon of milk I had previously purchased with less than a half of a cup out of it. I walked up to the service desk and said, "Hi, I was wondering if I could exchange this half gallon of milk because this one is sour." The woman at the service desk didn't bother to say hello, but looked rather irritated and asked me when I bought it. I told her some day the previous week. She said, "You don't know when?" I replied, "Not exactly sure but regardless the container has a sell by date 7 days from now." Her response was, "We only guarantee freshness for 10 days from the date of purchase. Yeah, okay, you can go get another one." Her tone was very snippy. I wanted to ask her where the store's freshness policy is because I'm guessing most people would expect if a product has a sell by date, they would expect the product to be fresh until that date because otherwise why would they buy it, unless the store discounted the product, due to the sell by date being close to the actual date? Same treatment happens when prices are incorrect. When you bring it to their attention, they make it seem as if they are doing you the favor by refunding you the amount they overcharged you in the first place.

Had my daughter run in to get 2 bags of green grapes that were on sale for .99 a pound. She had problems with the internet and therefore the digital coupon was not coming up. Asked for help, the lady took the grapes from my daughter and said sorry you have to have the coupon. She then asked the supervisor on duty for help and she said the same and walked away. 55 minutes later, the internet finally worked and she was able to purchase. 2 bags of grapes. Do better on hiring actual workers that can assist customers without an attitude. Will never ever shop that location again. Pathetic.

Read this post. It is going downhill. No cashiers and so dirty. It has been reported to the manager and nothing has been done. Not sure if they can't get help but it is not an excuse to have the place dirty. It seems like they are in their way to closing permanently

Usually find this store OK, I like that they have a great deli and other homemade meals. However the staff at the deli is sometimes lacking in general manners and cleanliness. If you are wearing gloves great! But please dont wipe your nose before you use the same hand to pick up what meat I chose! When I was there Sunday 9/19 around 11-12, I had a question. There was only 1 chicken tender @ the 2 for$10. I asked if there were more, had to ask 4 different people because after the poor confused girl tried to help I was treated very rudely with people literally pointing to someone else for me to ask, telling me they are short handed and too busy!!! Finally asked the 4th person behind the deli, she very rudely told me she would help me, but she was helping someone else... no she wasn't, I had an easy yes or no, got it you are next... The attitude was not necessary, I didnt ask to be next nor was i in a hurry!! I empathize with you being overworked, understaffed...!!! Not my fault, keep your bitchy attitude to yourself! Others may be having a bad day too,and that makes for a horrible situation all around.

I had pick up service at store on Bluemound, Brookfield, WI on Sunday August 8. My 1/2 gallon of milk expired the next day on August 9, 2021. I was also given garlic that was rotten. The worst part is the packing of the groceries. I did not realize they were so heavy, I picked them up with both hands and severly damaged my rotator cuff. I was advised by both an Orthopedic Surgeon and Physical Therapist not to shop at that store because of their practices. So, I am done with that store. I did not even bother to go back and exchange the milk and garlic. Consumers beware!

So, their pop stop cheese popcorn was the best! Even better than Garrets in Chicago until about 2 months ago when the manager changed. Now it sucks. You can get better popcorn in the junk food aisle that is better and cheaper.

This is an impressive grocery store. They have pretty much everything! The sushi counter, massive deli and juice bar are wonderful features for the hungry shopper. There are also some good deals offered. Unfortunately, you don't get the deals if you don't have a loyalty card. If I lived near here I'd get one, but the trip was more expensive than I thought it would be.
