You remember watching those old sitcoms like Andy Griffith when they went to the hardware store it was filled with kindly, knowledgeable people more than happy to explain the nuances of everything hardware? That's Scholze's. It's great even when you don't know exactly what you need but you know the problem you're having. Why did I give it three stars? It's not open Sundays. Most of us get two days off a week to do projects, and I need things to solve little problems that arise in process. I want to shop at Ace, but they aren't open. Walmart never has what I'm looking for. I hate Menards. I guess I'm driving all the way to Tomah. If only Scholze's was open Sundays...

Great Hometown Hardware store. They stand behind their products and actually seem to care about their customers. They have a ton of selection and are fairly priced. Rewards Member is definitely worth the time as well. Great deals and quality products.

Couldn't find what I was looking for. I asked the staff by showing an image on my phone, and I was inly off by one isle. The staff member was very helpful. The store is clean and well stocked, and the staff are friendly.

Very nice hometown hardware store. Staff are always helpful & friendly. Love the fact that its clean and organized inside. If they don't have it there they can more than likely order it, which is nice!

Scholze Ace home center is the right place to go for all your plumbing needs.Got to our cabin last weekend only to find we had a water leak in one of our walls. Very old plumbing and plastic lines, very typical.Went to Scholze's after a plumbing contractor suggested to for all our plumbing needs. And he was right! Found everything we needed and it didn't cost us a arm and a leg.Thank you Scholze's for having everything we needed!

I had a terrible experience with paint I purchased there and I was very upset about it. After calling and accomplishing nothing, I was about to write them off. The manager then called and apologized, told me they found the manufacturer had mixed the paint incorrectly, and he gave me a $50.00 gift certificate. I have been going there ever since and am treated very well every time. Employees are courteous & helpful.

Truly the best Ace with the helpful hardware folks. I'm never turned away for any of my weird diy project needs or regular house updates. The wide selection of tools to materials is amazing. Reminder they have a great tool and machinery rental service.

The employee at the service desk was friendly, professional and helpful. I was told my item was by the Garden Center and that the employee standing right next to us would retrieve the item for me. I returned to my vehicle, opened the tailgate, stood next to it and saw the employee bring out my item to the front of the Garden Center entrance. He set it down and seemed lost. I was 20 feet from him. I went over to him and helped load the item and while doing so looked at the condition of it and it was dirty and used. I told him I would NOT accept the item and he stated it just had a little dirt on it from some flowers. I was getting very angry and let him know it so he stated that he would look for another item. This time he came out with a new item. I helped him load that one and left thinking to myself that if it was an older senior citizen he was assisting would he have given that sub-standard item to them and let them leave to deal with a dirty, used item by themselves? I was NOT in the least impressed and would rather make purchases from Walmart than return to that Ace Hardware.
