The Black Earth Children's Museum is a very nice and amazing place, a wonderful surprise away from busy Madison. It is a smaller museum but is so well done, making great use of the space with lots of different sections for kids to explore. Exhibits are carefully curated and fun, with a wide variety of areas of interest. These include a big treehouse area, a grocery store, fishing, a veterinary office, an art room, a space themed room, a climbing wall, slides, a music area, and a special room for babies. There is so much to do for all ages, from babies to ages nine and up. The cost is very reasonable, including for a family membership. It is a great place for a birthday party or for a fun day out, and the staff is extremely friendly.
