Sad to see the owner has passed and the store is closed. Many, many happy memories of visiting over the last 30 years. A Birchwood icon will be greatly missed.

I can't believe I haven't written on here before! We are in our second cabin up here over the last 2 decades or so and we always make time to stop in and see what Roy and Joan have found on their hunt for the store merchandise. My friends and family all know Joan and Roy from the store (and visits to Rochester). Whether we are just stopping in to say hi, or needing something, or just wanting to shop, we never leave empty handed. So fun to explore the store!! Oh and they may not take credit cards, but they do take checks!! I always pack my checkbook for my visit. keeps the costs down for everyone! Your daughters name slips my mind! Fun to see you too!! See you soon! (one of the twins) :) Melanie! and her little dog Jenna!!

My boyfriend and I come to birchwood JUST to come to this store!! We both absolutely love it:) The owners are so friendly and are always there to answer any questions we may have. Definetly recomend coming here....only thing that I would dislike is their winter hours closed Jan-march😢
