20 Rittenhouse Ave, Bayfield“This is probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in Bayfield!
For reference, I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the Bayfield area over the years, and I have to say this was the nicest one yet. It is a little expensive, but in my opinion it was worth it!
We booked one of the jacuzzi rooms for a weekend (which of course is more expensive than a regular one) and I am so glad we did. The jacuzzi was so relaxing and the room itself was comfortable. The staff were super nice and accommodating. Although we didn’t need anything during our stay, I’m positive it would have been taken care of for us.
The parking is spacious and you get “permits” for your stay so that it ensures all customers get parking. It is in such a convenient location because everything is within walking distance. We were deciding between this one and another location and I am glad we chose this hotel because of it being so convenient to stay in the parking lot and just walk where we needed to go without stressing over parking.
The only downside is that there is no continental breakfast. They do have the restaurant attached which we had dinner at and it was delicious. Also, they have vending machines where you can purchase snack. However, for the price we paid, I will say the main con I had here was not being able to have anything included for breakfast, even if it was something simple or some discount for purchasing a room at their hotel. Thankfully there are quite a few options to choose from for breakfast (including the attached restaurant), and I know there aren’t a whole lot of other hotels in Bayfield that actually provide breakfast either. So unfortunately this is something that is hard to come by in general if you want to stay in Bayfield (unless you go to the bed and breakfasts or stay in Ashland).
Overall I am glad we came. I had a lot of fun and I would love to come back soon!
Nearby activities: Anything and everything you could think of is nearby! All types of shops, the museum, park, pier, community swimming pool, ferry (to Madeline island), and of course food!
Safety: I felt incredibly safe here. It was actually pretty quiet as well which was very nice!
Walkability: This location is basically in the center of everything you would want to explore. All of the main restaurants, book stores, souvenirs shops, and the ferry! It is all within walking distance so you can leave your car in the parking lot (with your permit for being a customer) and not have to worry about parking
Food & drinks: There is a restaurant attached that you can dine at for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had dinner here and it was delicious! We sat on the patio where you pay and fill out your order first, then you can just leave whenever you are done eating/drinking without having to track down a waiter. I was skeptical of it at first but it was very convenient!”
“We didn't stay we came in for drinks. The owners were running the bar and were very friendly.Just note that it's not a full bar, it's wine, beer/cider, and THC drinks. Note most of the Cocktail offerings were THC based and they did show what the mg were which is probably nice. As someone who can't use THC it was a bit disappointing that there were so few other options. Over all a nice upscale but chill vibe.”
