The good thing about the hotel was that the room itself was really clean and spacious. The staff was also very nice and friendly. And the Italian restaurant attached was pretty decent(don’t get the Alfredo-that was bland). The rest of the hotel was 50/50. The halls were not the cleanest and most the time smelled of marijuana, especially the entry way by door 4. The pool looked really dirty, but upon a closer look it is that the bottom of the pool liner is either tearing or the paint is scraping off in multiple places making it look like big dirt or leaf piles like found in a outside pool. The heater/air conditioning unit in the room has a fan so loud that you can’t hear the TV without turning the volume way up. We had to set ours to 45-50 volume level. The heater would be on and then turn off for maybe if we were lucky 5 mins before starting again. We tried all different modes and finally just shut it off so we could finish our movie on HBO. The television has no movie rentals or streaming available which isn’t the biggest deal if you aren’t in the room for long but Saturday night we were in after our dinner for about 4 hours before bed. Thankfully HBO had something decent to watch at one point. The closet in the room had a door broken so we didn’t really use it. The hotel is a good place to stay for someone who just needs a place to lie their heads for the night. No frills or extras. It was clean in the room and that was great. But I would not have been happy to stay there if our children had been in town with us. Just a bit shifty.Rooms: Room was very clean and spacious. We had a standard king size room. The online pictures showed a bright room with a teal colored wall. The room isn’t bright and is all gray walls. But that was easy to overlook. The heating/air unit in the room is very very loud no matter what mode we tried and would have to turn it off to hear what we were watching on TV or have the volume up to level 45 or more. The closet doors were also broken and couldn’t really be opened.Safety: When I was with my husband, I felt safe. But I wouldn’t want to be walking around inside by myself or let my teenage children or younger be walking around. The lobby where you check in and the restaurant is was a nice, bright area. The rest of the hotel was dark, dingy, isolated from the lobby, and smelled of marijuana. Just felt really shifty and easy for something to happen.Food & drinks: Restaurant was pretty good. Italian place with wood fired pizza. Just don’t get the Alfredo-sauce is very bland!Noteworthy details: Pool would be something I avoided unless they get it cleaned up and repainted so it doesn’t look like it is filthy. If we hadn’t walked into the pool room after peaking in the door, I would have walked away and said it was disgusting. But after going in and looking closer, you saw it was the bottom either lining torn in multiple spots or paint peeled in multiple spots.

Stayed in room 201. Shower head was bad and room was aged. The room looks to be updated a bit from the past but only in the color of the room. The shower vent was pretty dusty also. The shower controls seemed goofy and seemed like it might break. Shower curtain had a weird stain on it. Staff is great seemingly. Was this a hundred dollar a night hotel. Not quite sure.Rooms: Ok

My husband and I decided to stay a night away with a jacuzzi room.To start it was decent then our heating unit was making weird noises.so we tried to call the front desk numerous times with no answer. We walled down there at 3:30 am where we could get a different room by this point we were upset freezing . The third shift guy was coming on with a backpack confused and we requested a refund to be told the manager would be in the next day .we called and no manager until Tuesday. This was completely a let down waste of money and a complete train wreck .I have evidence of this unit sounding like its clicking not heating

Great hotel with friendly service at the front desk. They had a nice hot tub which was very relaxing. The bottom of the pool needs a paint job, but it wasn't concerning. Very nice assortment for breakfast also. We did have a stink bug crawling around in our room, but we just squashed it. The beds were nice, and there was a good selection of sports and other channels on the television. Affordable and nice spot! Would stay here again in Baraboo! I'd like to come again during the summer and visit the local zoo, circus museum, and the Dells nearby.

This was the most disgusting and uninviting hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpets were dirty with visible trash and debris. The deadbolt latch on our door was loose and hardly screwed in. It looks as if the door has been kicked in before. The bathroom is tiny and our shower filled up with water very quickly. The sinks do not drain. The rooms and hallway had an odor. The pool was disgusting. The air unit filter in the room was so filthy and it smelled musty. The staff, aside from one or two people, was unpleasant and unfriendly. One of the doors from the outside was consistently left unlocked. The vending machines were also gross and dusty. I would never stay here again.

To anyone planning to stay here, I advise you to read my review and reconsider. I had the absolute worst experience. It began right when I walked in, the staff was extremely rude. When I went up to my room, there was a pile of trash in front of my door on the floor. On my initial inspection of the room, I found blood on my comforter and sheets. There was also a FILTHY air conditioner filter sitting on the floor next to my bed. When I asked the front desk worker about it he said “you can remove it from the room yourself”, I was shocked. My room reeked of cigarettes. Lastly, my sink nor my shower drained. It was disgusting, I was standing in a pool in the shower after 2 minutes. I have never stayed at a hotel this disgusting, and I will never be coming back.

Paid way too much for a four night stay. Was fooled by the reviews. Unsure if I was given a smaller two queen bedroom (because I made a reservation online) but it definitely was tight/small compared to the room next to us. The bathroom door was very hard to open my kids couldn’t on their own, mold in the ceiling bathroom. The room itself and bed seemed clean the cleaning crew was very polite and helpful. Unlike the front desk employers the first young man was sweating and seemed confused and disoriented very disorganized, the other older man was rude, unapproachable and seemed annoyed or upset he definitely didn’t want to be working.Due to the bad weather we spent more time in the hotel so we thought the pool and hot tub would be nice. Wrong! The room is barely ventilated it was difficult to breathe the whole place felt dirty, gross and run down. During our stay which was over the weekend it was evident that many guests were doing drugs, drinking stumbling in the parking lot and hallways and smoking. I will say the rooms have very good sound proof considering, pillows and bed were comfortable. The ‘arcade’ is a few games that don’t work or take your money. The laundry room is $3.50 per wash and 2.50 for dry but the coin machine was out of order. This hotel may have been a 3 star at some point but it doesn’t take long unfortunately to notice that it’s run down and the employees are over worked and probably underpaid therefore have no care for customer curtesy. What a shame indeed.

I was there for a business trip but brought my family as well for them to vacation, I would overall say my stay was okay the staff was decent, the restaurant was good, the stay was good. The cleanliness of the room that’s where I draw a line. I have terrible allergies and that room was so dusty I was stuffed up the whole stay. What was worse was whatever I was breathing in from the air conditioner. It was so disgusting. I attempted to clean the filter but that didn’t help anything! It had dust and (possible mold) caked in the vents. Which used Styrofoam inside the unit (unsure if that’s normal). I was disappointed that they had “cleaning standards” in the room and that they “kept up to code with covid cleaning” but that room was far from it.

The front desk worker found us a room that would work for my family of five. The room and hotel itself was clean, but there is obvious updates that would make the place better. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were nice, and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good too.
