this is the worst tow company of all time. i have heard nothing but terrible things about this company. i got into a car accident and lost my only means of transportation. they towed my car and then ignored me for three days and finally decided it was time to return my missed calls and told me my tow bill was $500. not to mention, terrible customer service. extremely rude employees. the second i found out they were towing my car from the auto body shop in st croix i called them. i didn’t have much money but i was hoping to scrap my car to get something. i called them three times and left a voicemail on their “24 hour calling.” the tow bill of around $500, i couldn’t afford that. i don’t know many people with $500 laying around especially for a company that ignores you to get more money out of you. they told me either give up the car or pay their new bill of over $1,000. i surrendered my car and moved on with my life. now i got a call from collections for the bill. crazy how i was told to give up my car or pay the bill. i cannot express how horrible the people and service is here.Service: Car towing

I got my car stuck in a snow bank in the Amery area and am so glad I called Lake Services Unlimited! Time was off the essence as my son with severe special needs was with me and I knew I couldn't wait hours for a tow. Jeff & Cory were there in 15 minutes and immediately figured out the best plan to get me back on the road. They were both super friendly to me & my son and got us back on the road safely & quickly. Very thankful for their great service!

Lol Half the 5 star reviews on this place look fake. Got misquoted the price it would cost, they raised the price of the tow 70 dollars post with no warning. Wouldn’t show the items on the noll till after we payed. And the last must not be getting payed enough because she was probably one of the rudest employees I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to. Horrible experience, I guess when they have you by the walls what can you do though. Best of wishes. Tips if you have to go through this place,bring cash, much more then you would think and record conversations.

Lake services mowed my lawn on 2 occasions. The first time they came out they mowed the 3 acre lawn and the grass was high so they had to go over it twice. The bill was in the 240.00 range. A year later I had them come out to mow again. This time the bill was almost 400.00 although the cost per hour was still the same. What I found to be the difference this time was there’s a road about 3/4 mile long that loops from cty rd I goes past 3 properties my driveway being the second driveway in. It’s never been mowed before and I don’t own it. But this time they decided to mow both sides of that road. And bill me for it. When I told them the only response is that they thought it would look nice. If you can’t trust them to just bill you for what you actually own and should owe. Who’s to say how many others they have done this tooService: Lawn mowing/maintenance

I could never say enough good about LSU. They provide wonderful service even checking our cabin to make sure we weren't trapped in there during the July 2019 storm. We hired them for the tree work and it was a mess but they did great. We will miss dealing with them as they got us through some rough times especially with that storm as the property is no longer owned by us. Their prices are good and they sure do quality work.

As a result of my AAA tow truck taking too long to show up, the county sheriff’s department called Lake Services to tow my vehicle from the road. It was an understandable decision on the part of the Law Enforcement professionals at the Polk County Sheriff’s Department.
Lake services towed my truck 7.4 miles, charging $125.00 for the tow, $33.25 for mileage, $25.00 for labor, and an additional $45.00 for the use of a flatbed tow truck, and $12.55 sales tax for a grand total of $240.80. While rather expensive, it is not too far above the local going rate for such a tow. Perhaps 20% over the going market rate.
Because I had another tow operator coming to take the truck to the body shop that I use, I called them immediately to give them a credit card to pay the tow fee. I was told, “We do not accept credit cards over the phone. Too much fraud.”
I had to jump out of bed, drive 70 miles round trip and pay the bill before they would release the truck. (I have no problem with a tow operator requiring payment prior to releasing the vehicle. It’s their only way to insure payment. That is a reasonable and customary practice.)
The truck driver was rude... Extremely rude. When I arrived at the tow operator office, the woman working the counter was even worse than the driver. The driver from the alternate tow company was treated extremely rudely by the company as well.
While their services were technically competent, their customer service levels are awful, the staff is rude, inflexible, and in my opinion unprofessional.

Great job getting me out of the snow bank! Very kind and caring. AAA had a 20 minute wait just to talk to someone to be dispatched so called on the other line and they were there in 15 minutes!

Had a little slide on the ice last night and ended up in the ditch, Jeff answered immediately and was out to help in under 20 minutes. Got me back on my way in no time and was very reasonable on the bill.

We needed help with our veterans memorial at the VFW in Lewis (also C &J's Hideaway) and they really came through with time, materials, and an outstanding work ethic! I will be getting an estimate for my landscaping needs at my own home too!
