The Ridges Sanctuary is beautiful. I had entered from Bailey's Harbor Range Lights. This had a wooden plank walkway between the Range Lights. From here we branched off to the main office of the Ridges Sanctuary. I would recommend to enter from either location. It was a $5 entry per person. They had boxes to put this is at multiple locations. Overall my family and I will be back again to checkout the rest of the trails. The trails off the wooden boardwalk are all dirt paths so dress accordingly.

I've only ever gone to the Ridges for classes and events, so I've paid in advance online. 2 of my kids have done the Tiny Trekkers class multiple times. And we've been there for season celebrations and whatnot. They have multiple locations with lots of beautiful nature to explore at each spot. The boardwalk at their main location (where the Nature Center is located) is a wonderful and beautiful nature walk. Other locations have trails, trees, sand, beaches, etc. All gorgeous! The Ridges has a lot of different educational options from classes to guided hikes to events to a Forest School. They are definitely an amazing resource for anyone who is into the outdoors.

A must visit! The adult night hike is like a 90 -minute adult adventure. So much fantastic learning with connection and history.

This was a nice activity to do but wasn't really worth the hype. It costs $5 per person to do the trails. We did the most common one which is 1.3 miles and takes you through each of the trails. I think it would have been better if there wasn't a small drought happening during the time we went.

This place is absolutely beautiful! You get a trail map and there’s boardwalks and trails all in the sanctuary. This was my second time here and I’ll definitely go again!

Wonderful place to get back in touch with nature. Great for scenery, birding, or flora. Can't wait to go back!

This is a fantastic nature preserve, with a variety of trails and ecosystems. You can easily see wild turkey, deer, foxes, and a ton of wildlife all in one outing! The field house is incredible, with helpful staff and a ton of resources (and classes) available. If you are a fan of Door County state parks, then you'll fall in love with the Ridges. The trails are open dusk until dawn, and a 5 dollar donation is asked. Well worth the money!

Rare orchids and wildflowers in season along hundreds of feet of new broad boardwalks make for a natural wonder. Combined with the range light and lighthouse keepers house, The Ridges is a rare ecological preserve of glacial and nautical history.

Trails were nice. Don’t go in thinking you will see the fall colors. All cedar trees, no color but beautiful none the less. Lived in Door County for years and years and this was the first time I have been to the Ridges.

We enjoyed our visit to The Ridges Sanctuary. The employees were all very helpful. The boardwalk was a nice quick walk, and we took a few of the outer trails as well. The only complaint we had was that the flies were biting a lot while we visited at the end of July. There were a lot of wildflowers and animal sightings too.

Really cool area to walk around. Smells of conifer float on the trails and not very strongly or overpowering. Very calm and quiet place to have a relaxing walk. The open marshes with tall grass blowing in the wind, while walking through was a great show.

A nice place for a stroll or hike on the boardwalk and/or trails. The range light (it looks like a lighthouse) may be open for a tour too. In May there are plenty of wildflowers, like marsh marigolds and these teeny tiny irises. Insider tip: This is a nonprofit nature center, so there's a charge to hike here. Not a lot - maybe $5 - but be prepared!

We walked for a while on the boardwalk, then were able to walk in to see the birds and exhibits.

What a beautiful experience. The nature trails, at a suggested donation of $5 per person, are well kept and provide a truly naturalized opportunity to enjoy God's creation. We visit every year!

Very cool place. Really enjoyed our walk and visiting the Nature Center. We spent about 90 minutes here.
