About Maxwelton Braes Lodge
Maxwelton Braes Lodge has a wonderful place with quiet, clean accommodations and beautiful grounds. The staff is friendly, attentive and hospitable, often staying up late to check us in and feed us after a delayed flight. Service and food are great, and the surrounding area is not chaotic. We starting the day with coffee in the sunroom and quiet music, and ending the day with a drink in front of the fire pit. The historic structure is well‑kept, a throwback to the 1920s but updated. Overall experience is highly recommended and we will definitely return.
Cannot say enough positive things about this lodge. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Adam went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be returning.

Great service and food. Very friendly staff and surrounding area was not chaotic. Went a few weeks ago and would definitely return to stay if ever in the area.

Wonderful place and overall experience. Highly recommended. Incredibly nice staff - went as far as making me a custom (not on the menu) item at the restaurant. Great- no better work to describe it.
