Plato's Closet is a popular secondhand clothing store known for offering designer and brand-name items at lower prices. Customers generally find the staff friendly and welcoming, creating a positive shopping environment. Many reviews highlight that employees are helpful and professional, with some praising specific staff members for handling difficult situations well. Shoppers often enjoy leaving with a variety of cute finds, and the store's prices are considered affordable, making it a favorite place for bargain hunters. However, some locations face challenges. Disorganization and clutter can make browsing difficult, with inconsistent organization and too much hanging on end caps. The quality of items varies, with some customers noticing torn or cheap-looking pieces, and a lack of diversity in sizing—particularly fewer larger or adult-sized clothes—making it feel more geared toward teens rather than all adults. Some shoppers have also experienced judgmental attitudes from staff or found the store's selection to be limited or overpriced at times. Despite these issues, many still appreciate the store for its friendly staff and good deals, though experiences can differ depending on the location.
My recent experience anyway , hadn't been good. This one women constantly deneys my clothes without looking at them and they always leave them sloppy , never fold them back

I usually have decent luck with shopping but tonight I have nothing but good things to say about the closing manager. I saw a family being extremely rude to Annelise, she took it very professionally and handled it like a champ. She was able to resolve the issue, I personally give her big kudos. đź’•

Workers are rude as heck and as soon as you walk in they stare you down and have a nasty attitude when wanting to sell clothes.
