Pet Stores & Supplies

Soft Lines Inc
422 3rd St W #207, AshlandGreat product! Great customer service! Great delivery! I volunteer at my local shelter walking/training dogs. The 8' slip leash has been of great assistance, as I harness many of the pups working on loose leash walking, and this provides the extra length to ensure a comfortable walk, in control. I've referred Soft Lines to several friends who have ordered and are very happy with their new leash. I am ordering my second one!

Pet Care

Willow Animal Hospital
50172 WI-112, AshlandWe were on vacation in the area when our pet had an emergency. Willow Animal Hospital was able to fit us in with an urgent call. The vet was fantastic. We have a German Shepherd who does not like strangers, much less vets. She sat on the floor and let him come to her. She put our dog at ease. It was amazing. She took the time to explain our options and cost was reasonable. Very grateful and Highly recommend.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Blue Wave Inn & Sandbar Restaurant
2521 Lake Shore Dr W, AshlandFinally made it to The Sandbar! This is a perfect location with amazing views of Lake Superior and amazing drinks and food, too! We enjoyed Bloody Mary's, a pumpkin spice chai tea, hummus and the spinach artichoke dip! There's no better place for a quick breakfast or lunch overlooking the lake! We'll definitely be back!

EL TARASCO
2320 Lake Shore Dr W, AshlandWe visited here for the first time on September 12, 2024, and at first, we weren't sure it was open because there weren't any cars parked there. But we pulled in and saw the Open sign, so we decided to stop in and eat.
The staff was quick to greet us and very friendly! The restaurant has a great view (aside from being across the street from the lake) but it still was nice! The restaurant wasn't busy at all, we were one of 3 groups there.
Service was very quick! I liked that the beers were served in chilled glasses! The chips and salsa was good! However, the food could have been better. I ordered a combo plate, which had a taco, tostada, and enchilada. There was too much sour cream and beans on my tostada, which made it soggy and not able to be picked up, the enchilada was luke warm, and the beef taco was bland. He enjoyed his enchilada plate, though, so maybe it was just the type of combo plate I ordered.
Overall, we enjoyed eating here, I just wish the food would've been better. I still recommend stopping in to eat here though because it was a nice atmosphere!
Parking: They share a parking lot with a motel so parking is a little weird. The lot is a dirt lot and has some very big holes and bumps, so be careful!

Black Cat Coffeehouse
211 Chapple Ave, AshlandThe coffee here is really good. I got the Myan mocha and it was fantastic. The coffee had a different body and didnt rely on sugar to make it taste good.
The quiche was excellent as well.
Definitely a nice place to stop at when up in Ashland.
