Don't rent from Hertz, they will report the car missing to police just to save some time and money, and you will be arrested, fined, and caged.

Because Hertz closed this location with open reservations I will never rent from Hertz again. You left me and 100's of people stranded at the airport and did NOTHING to rectify the situation. Nothing!!!!!!

Shady business practices. We rented a car so that we could drive to the Korean consulate in Chicago (My girlfriend is from South Korea) We had mentioned that to the person we were speaking with multiple times. We also asked what the price would be upfront. It cost $29 to rent the car and $59 to get the insurance and a $200 deposit that we would get back. We were told it would in total cost less than $100 to rent the car. Also to mentioned we did rent for only a single day and returned it before our expected return date (also previously discussed) Three days later we get our deposit and then a single day later $164 is taken out of my account and they claimed it was because we went high mileage. It was at no point mentioned to us we would get charged this by the person we were talking to. I called the company inquiring as to why were charged so much. They said that they couldn't help us because we did sign a contract. I told them it was there responsibility to disclose additional charges especially considering we disclosed exactly how far and where we were going and they mentioned nothing to us. The woman had said she would talk with her manager and have her call me on Monday. Here it is Monday and magically the manager is not there and a bunch of other excuses came from this ladies mouth. This is a shady business and I do not recommend it to anyone. Stay away from it and rent somewhere else even if it seems it will be more expensive we ended up paying over $200 by additional charges.. Never again. Pathetic business model.

Unfortunately the old owner sold this good luck getting good service. Roadside assistance left me on interstate and with no help to get a new car. Thank god people from Chicago were more qualified to be professional and helpful. Go to enterprise even if it cost more

They came and took the car from me when it was still payed for. They didn’t say a word. my phone and wallet were in it, they left me to walk 4-5 Miles with a hungry baby than called the cops on me when I got to hurtz because my roommates meds where in the truck, turns out after wasting my time his meds are not a controlled substance...good thing you Looser’s called the cops for nothing the guy from hurtz should have been arrested

They have the worse 24 hour road side assistance...waited 8hours for someone to even get back to me and then I got charged added that weren't even discussed when I rented the car. Never again will I rent from these guys

This was an insurance rental while my car was being repaired. I was supposed to pick up the vehicle near me but when I called Hertz they informed me that my location was closed so I had to drive 25 miles to get the car. There was a sign at the office stating gas was $2.25 per gallon and I did not have time to stop for fuel prior to dropping it off. I was charged $9.99 a gallon for $121.00.They said it was on the contract. Misleading. Will not use this vendor again for personal or corporate needs.

This is the worst company I have ever rented a vehicle from. I had a 30 day rental; from day one was a terrible experience. I went to close out and re-rent the same car. I was advised I couldn't, no problem, the guy behind the counter refused to go check the fuel and mileage. I went back outside, took a picture, went back to the counter, and provided the guy with the mileage and showed him the gas needle reflected fully. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for a compact vehicle, again no problem. The car had damages I had to go back inside before pulling off and waited in line again. I billed out for over a grand $1047. I receive an email the next day, reflecting a $30 increase for gas. HELLO, what the heck. I called, and a rude lady stated I don't know where you drove to or from. She began to elevate her tone, and I was like no, no, we will not be doing that today in a soft tone. I asked her to pull the video she stated they don't have those capabilities, I went to the booth right next to Hertz (AVIS :) ), now this was excellent customer service experience. The lady greeted me with a smile, a friendly tone, and didn't have any issues explaining my billing. The people at Hertz did an up crease the next day on my bill. I contacted my credit card company and agreed to honor $1047, not the $1074 the next day, when Hertz rep did an audit. The people at this location are rude rude rude rude rude. I guess they forgot the competitors is right next door. I will refer anyone that needs a rental to AVIS, professional, excellent customer service. Now I am going to post to AVIS and provide AVIS with five stars, and I wish I could have given AVIS 10 stars instead. Hertz does not get any starts, and you can't contact customer service because this location is independently own is what I was advised. Watch your bill with Hertz, if they say they will charge you for a compact check your billing if the code is not a B you are being charged a higher rate, Have the person at the counter go outside and get the mileage and check the gas and you must go with them. Video them, if it's legal, this has been a horrible experience. I very disrespected, but I kept a smile, soft tone, and didn't allow the person behind the counter to allow me to come out of character. I will never rent from Hertz again, not worth the frustration, aggravation, and being humiliated.

I alway get good service here ...they have a good weekend rate ...usually with unlimited miles. They have very nice cars and you can rent trucks too. Call ahead to find the best deal and reserve a nice car for less.
