Can't give a lower rating at all. Don't have a 26 foot truck had to rent two 16 footers instead. 2 weeks later was charged $279 for miles for 30 miles between two trucks. Battery light on one of the trucks came on limped back. At the time we rented they decided they were both going to lunch, why you wouldn't stagger lunches is beyond me.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! IVE BEEN CALLING THIS LOCATION FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS … NOBODY HAS ANSWERED!! I MADE RESERVATIONS FOR TODAY ( THROUGH MY ACCOUNT ) & DIDNT RECEIVE A CALL TO CONFIRM OR A CALL TO AWARE ME OF THE TIME THEY'LL BE CLOSING FOR TODAY .. I COULDN'T EVEN CONTACT SOMEONE TO GIVE HEADS UP ABOUT ME RUNNING BEHIND SCHEDULE. CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID THEY CLOSED AT 12pm GOOGLE SAYS 2:00pm. I NEEDED MY TRUCK TODAY FOR MONDAY EARLY MORNING 6:00am TO BE EXACT & THEIR CLOSED SUNDAY SMFH!! TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS!!! TERRIBLE AT ANSWERING CALLS!! NOW I MAY HAVE MISSED MY CHANCE WITH MY NEW JOB !! THANKS SOO MUCH BUDGET !!!

We were disappointed with the service, on several counts, for a reservation I made about six weeks ago (one-way rental for cargo van to haul furniture and heirlooms). I received confirmation immediately following my online reservation and (happily!) received an email reminder three days before the reservation was to begin.We were ready to load the vehicle one day ahead of schedule, so I tried calling to see if the reservation could be updated. I tried calling unsuccessfully for over 3 hours -- after 6 rings or so, the phone automatically would roll-over to a non-local, pre-recorded message. I was never able to speak to anyone in person.The next morning, we drove to the rental facility (35 miles, one-way) to see if we could receive the van one day early. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but said that it would cost an additional $400 to change the reservation by one day -- a 35% increase above the quote for a 5-day rental! It is not clear to me why this change would cost so much, when the truck would only sit until the next morning ... nor why the local manager did not have the authority to override pricing generated by Budget's reservation system.Secondly, I requested a dozen moving pads with my reservation (also confirmed via email). Unfortunately, there were no pads available, in spite of the reservation being made six weeks in advance. When I asked for an explanation, I was simply told that "Budget HQ does not notify us of such requests beforehand", which belies the point of making the reservation online.Once received, the vehicle ran fine, without any service issues.

Rented a 26' truck three weeks in advance. Got a conformation two days before pick up that it was good to go. Then they decided to call me the day before I NEEDED this truck to tell me that it wont be available....Thanks a lot Budget you F'd me!!! I will never give you business or recommend this shady business to anyone ever...

We rented a 26' moving truck from Budget and they are charging us for the roadside assistance from us locking the keys inside. They advertise that roadside assistance is included with all rentals, but what they Don't tell you is that unless you Also purchase "Roadside Safetynet", an option they never told us about, that typical roadside services such as lockouts and flat tires are NOT covered. So, after we purchased the Physical Damage Waiver for an additional $279.94, we are now being charged an additional $240 for lockout services done by a tow service whom Budget called to assist us. On top of All that, they are charging us an additional $50 "administration fee". If we had been told that the roadside service wasn't covered, we could have paid the Towing company on the spot and avoided this "fee". I feel as though they use this special "safteynet" clause in their rental agreement to trick people, because who would ask about additional roadside coverage when budget advertises that roadside assistance comes with the rental?! I will never rent from this company again. False advertising as far as I'm concerned.

It was simple and easy. They did NOT suck a bunch of my time being an anoying car dealer like many places do. Easily tried out some cars and test drive one in some free time I had.
