I don’t even know where to begin on warning prospective students about this school. I just graduated from the esthetics program and I HIGHLY recommend you consider going elsewhere.1. There is one esthetics instructor split between two classes at a time. She does her best, but this results in classes spending half of their program (2.5 months) sitting in a classroom alone with no classes. We were told it was “self guided study”, but we were all finished with our workbook less than 3 weeks into the “independent study” and then we just sat there on our phones all day.2. The owner does everything he can to cut costs. Despite months of asking, we shared one stool throughout the whole spa for all of the esthetics students while doing services. Many of the spa beds are a disgusting yellow and the wax pots don’t even work properly resulting in a lot of pain for our model during her Brazilian wax.3. We did not even have a classroom. We were told we had to move to the sunroom from our classroom to make room for the newer esthetics class. There were eight of us crammed onto two small skinny tables.4. You are shown how to do something (like facials) one time and one way. You will not learn any additional technique. If you want to practice anything else it will be self taught.5. We loved our esthetics instructor, but the fact is that they don’t have an actual esthetician teaching you. Our instructor was a cosmetologist who did hair and basically just read the textbook to us and helped us memorize some things.6. They delete bad reviews so that their ratings look better than they are. There have been some very negative reviews on Facebook but they’re all gone now.Overall, I paid $11k to read a $100 textbook on my own. I highly recommend considering FVTC’s program which has much more structure for 1/3 of the price. Do not waste your money here.ABP has no business running an esthetics program. They are understaffed and ripping students off. Also, if the owner comments and says they have no record of me attending this school (like he has with so many other reviews) I will post a picture of my certificate.

They charge $15,000 for barber school yet the teachers were too busy watching the Johnny depp trial, the shears the students received are literally $9.99 at Walmart. They don’t even teach the students the proper way to hold their clippers. I’m working on getting this school shut down for fraud considering the owners card got declined when paying $200 for boards. This school is the biggest scam out there, if you wanna learn Bad habits and what NOT to do then go here otherwise run the other way

We were there a few weeks ago. The students did there bests under the circumstances and with the supplies they had to use. Just couldn't help thinking the whole time that they are SO being ripped off.How sad to think that this is the quality of education one has to actually pay for! Half the lights were not working. You sit on a wooden bench to get a pedicure. This is suppose to be a place of learning! AT THE VERY LEAST, they should have the STANDARD EQUIPMENT that they would be using out in the real world. I was shock to learn that the nail techs are NOT even allowed to use any metal instruments. Not clippers, or cutters. How absolutely insane! So they will have no hands on training in how to properly sanitize or use these items for the public's safety. This is where they are suppose to be learning the CORRECT way AND use of ALL their tools of their trade!! So now they will go on to expose the general public with only half of the proper knowledge to safely care for their clients. SHAME ON YOU FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOUR STUDENTS!

The student was very thorough. It took her 4 hrs to complete hair trim and partial highlights. Otherwise everything was fine.

This was the most wonderful experience I have ever had at a salon! I was a little nervous about having a facial, and after the wonderful welcome from Tracy, I was completely put at ease. Kaitlyn did a great job as well. My skin was so soft and it firmed up the neck area, which I didn't even know was possible! I came out so refreshed and relaxed. Then I received a manicure by Yang that was also incredible. Thank you so much everyone. I will definitely be back.

As a student going through school for Barbering at this place I was very unhappy. I only had about 30 mins of instruction with a set of clippers. Everything else I learned on YouTube. If you have the chance go else where as a student. I was afraid to post this earlier as I was afraid of the school retaliating for posting something until I passed both of my tests. I will say two of the instructors were great laura and lindi you were awesome. They would take their time with people who needed the help. The place was understaffed, and seen like they couldn't handle all the students. The kits you don't get to you're done with the school and it is stuff that isn't really worth any thing. The shears I got could barely cut manincuns hair. They charge a lot for the text book that you can get for 230$ on Amazon and it comes with the work guide and testing book. There was a even a time I had to stop a student from going after another student and instructors. Police were called multiple times to the school. I really wished I would have gone and did research on other places. If I could add the video of the fight I would but it doesn't look like I can on here.

I went for the spa package with my mother for her birthday. It started off rocky with the receptionist demanding emails but saying it wasn't necessary. She asked about 4 or 5 times for emails that already were filled out on the piece of paper.then I went for my eyebrows first and the lady was very nice and did a great job9/10. Next were facials which were also nice but the steamers for both me and my mom they could not figure out how to workStill did a nice job 8/10. Next were nails, both said they don't usually do nails and can get singed off by practicing on manacins. the one girl doing my moms said she is bad and kept apoloizing, which no one wants to hear when they are paying for a service.. The polish they had was old. Mine actually never dried and got messed up before even leaving 0/10. We went to get my mothers hair styled next and they did a great job 9/10. lastly was pedicures and it was to say the least barely funded. They couldn't find new files or toe separators. My polish was still wet on my nails and I complained that its not dryin.she asked if I wanted everything redone, however we had already been there 3.5 hours and didn't have time to get both toes and hands repainted. It was a $79 package so I didn't expect perfection and know they are students but it seemed like it was everyone's first day. The gal that I worked with overall was nice and both were friendly but I would only ever go back for facials everything else was definitely not up to par.

I went to the Academy of Beauty Professionals on Friday, January 22, 2021. The student cutting my hair was Alyssa, who is set to graduate in early February. Right from the start, she made me feel comfortable and important. She was knowledgeable and gave me several tips on how to maintain the style once I got home. She was sweet and friendly, talking about our families as she was close to my daughter's age and had two little children about the ages of my grandchildren. It was a very enjoyable hour, and she surely brightened my day.
