In July of last year, I purchased a brand-new MTH train from Patrick's Trains. When I received it, it ran poorly, so I sent it back to him. In an email, he told me, "If it cannot be fixed, we will send you a replacement." After receiving the item, he called me to tell me there was nothing wrong with it and that he was sending it back to me. In December of last year, it still ran poorly, so contacted Patrick's Trains again. Instead of agreeing to take it back for repair or replacement, he referred me directly to Rich, a member of MTH Trains senior management. He told me to send the item to him and his in-house technician would repair it. I received it back on January 26. The repair was not successful, and it sustained damage in transit, so I wrote to Rich and told him I will return the item to him for a refund. I returned it to him at a trade show on January 29, and he told me that he cannot issue a refund but would issue a credit to Patrick's Trains and to expect a refund from them. Over 30 days later, I have not received my refund. I called Patrick's Trains on Feb. 24, spoke with Pat, and he refused to help. He told me he issued the refund with his credit card payment processing company on Feb. 8. I explained to him that I haven't yet received my refund and asked him to address this with his processing company and just send me a check. He refused to do that, and then said, "You're an a$$h@@le, and I don't care about your refund," and hung up the phone.

Ii have dealt with Pat and Pat's Trains for years. Pat has ALWAYS been a friend and fair in both price and service. Recently, I had a problem with a locomotive that I purchased elsewhere. I called Pat to find out if he could service it for me. When I explained the problem, Pat offered me a couple of ideas on what might be wrong. After an investigation on my part, I was able to correct the problem and get the locomotive to run, all thanks to Pat. Pat is very knowledgable and willing to help his customers out when he can. Everyone I know who has had dealings with Pat have had good things to say about him.

Big Help!My MTH TIU (2002) had sent out it's last signal and I needed something to get get me through the Christmas season.I asked some questions about a DCS Explorer and the answers were just what was needed - for now.Placed an order on Wednesday and received the product on Saturday. Great delivery time and very helpful on the phone. I was very appreciative of the time spent on the phone; especially since I called during the holiday season. He was busy but still took the time to help me.I know where I'll get a DCS WiFi - if they ever get made.Thank you Patrick
