This was our first RV and could not have asked for a better experience. We live two hours away, but would definitely recommend this family owned business to anyone! It was a personal and fairly easy process and you can tell they really care about your family and what you need. We had a minor issue that they resolved without question. It actually gave us an opportunity to accidentally meet the owners and when we drove off we were smiling at how pleasant they were. 10/10 highly recommend Mountaineer RV & Outdoor Center, LLC.

Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Loved the layout of the camper. Our first time with a camper and we enjoyed it. My husband had no problem towing it. We hope to rent again next year and take it to the beach. Unless I can talk him into buying one. LOL

Best RV dealer in W. VA.!!
Service is awesome!! Check out their new location! For the past three years we stopped to have our camper serviced on our way back home to Orlando (yes, Florida!) where we bought it. This year, we had plans to drop it off for the yearly check up, but Mountaineer RV & Outdoor had an awesome sale, so we checked it out and they offered us a deal to trade our camper, that we loved, on a new camper that we simply could not pass up! We will be back next year for the first service on our new camper! No wonder they are one of the best dealership' s in the nation!! Check out the sky as we pulled our new camper off of the lot!

If you expect high quality maintenance work and accountability, then DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES take your fifth wheel or rv here. If you want to experience highway robbery, if you want to be told “well it was working when we checked it so it’s not our problem”, if you want to wait 4+ months and be given the run around and have incorrect paperwork sent to your insurance, if you want pay over $10,000 for maintenance /problems to be fixed only to pick up a fifth wheel that has more damage and issues than you dropped it off with months prior, if you want to drop your fifth wheel back off for them to “re-fix” the things you already paid for and then drive away with yet again MORE PROBLEMS… then by all means this is where you should go. I would not trust these people to tie my shoes. We will be contacting the better business bureau after they burnt up motors, messed up slide outs, ripped up carpet, had our fifth wheel a second time for a single day to relook at two slide outs that they “fixed” only to give it back to us and have NONE OF THEM WORK, worked on the water component of a working refrigerator only to give it back broken and tell us to contact the fridge manufacturer because they “didn’t touch” the cooling element… unfortunately it was an expensive mistake for us to learn…. But not too late for y’all… DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANYTHING. They will break it all and you will pay them to do it.
RESPONSE
Yes, the owner reached out. Yes, options were offered. Exterior damage that was fixed with insurance plus the interior damage totaled above $10k which is why I referred to that as the total spent. It might’ve been working on camera prior to our arrival, but I wouldn’t know as they were all slid in upon on our arrival and not working the very first time we went to slide them out. Nor was their working order demonstrated upon pick up. I still blame myself for not requesting a working demonstration. We did not contact you further, because it was not in working order when it was picked up and paid for, even though we had been told that it was good to go. When you spend that kind of money you expect an inspection of any further issues prior to pick up. When we brought it back in after opening everything up for the first time and mentioning the slide outs that did not work… The fluid was obviously not checked as a possible issue, and it was returned to us without a mention of this until he told you he had been able to fix that himself the next day. Yes you offered to refund the cost of the fluid. However, after several months and several thousand dollars, we no longer wanted to deal with the hassle and back and forth and pay more money for motors you did not access prior to returning the camper (aside from a video you apparently have after the fact). Your solution was for us to bring it in again after not previously identifying these problems over the course of MONTHS. Our residency is local, but he works on the road/out of state more often than not and bringing it back to your shop would have put us out financially even more than the cost of further repairs not previously identified prior to pick up. We did not contact you further, because we did not want to. We appreciated you reaching out, but for us respectfully, it was too late and we were too frustrated over the entire situation. I did not give explicit details in my review because the details of the situation do not alter our overall experience or change the amount of frustration we have experienced personally. You can discredit how feel based on the facts as you see them and that is just fine. Some people might have a different experience with your business and that is great for them. I would’ve preferred to leave a 5 star review… For us, we would not recommend. I also specifically left his name out of the review previously as he would never chose to leave a bad review for any reason because he is too nice. I don’t know how you figured out the relationship, but I didn’t post his details on purpose.

The folks there are outstanding! We were a couple hours from home and we realized our camper keys were left on the back porch. Mountaineer RV was close by to where we were when we realized what we did. Called. They said come on in. We have a 1999 pop-up (in stellar condition) but it being so old, no key of theirs was working. A fella said he had one last key to try. It worked! He opened up the box so we could get the crank and unlocked the door so we could open it up when we got to our destination. No charge. They went above and beyond for us. I really believe this business will treat customers right! Thank you! If it hadn't been for you, we would not have gotten to have much needed family time.

On vacation from FL. and had an issue with my RVs ac unit. Stopped in Mountaineer RV. They checked out my unit & diagnosed the problem while I waited. Everyone who assisted me was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Wish this dealership was in Orlando!

I really enjoyed being able to check out all of the trailers on my own and not have someone breathing down my neck the whole time. They were available to answer any questions when needed and let me do the rest at my own pace! Ended up finding our home on wheels at the mt nebo location and they're going to take it and prep it at the location closer to me! Hopefully the pointers and advice for how this all works is as good as the service so far! Will update after final paperwork and first trip! Can't wait for pickup Wednesday!

Great people. This was on July 5th and all other RV repair places never returned my calls or they were closed for holiday extension. The Mountainneer folks were 1st class in response, explanation, friendliness and professionalism. I would certainly recommend them.

Just want to express our gratitude to everyone at Mountaineer RV, as on the day we left for our vacation one of our travel trailer's tires blew out on the highway. After putting the spare tire on we were in a panic to find somewhere to get a new tire put on. We called Mountaineer RV, and they were so very kind and helpful and told us they had our size tire in stock and could take care of us that day. It took us about 1-1/2 hours to get there, they were very busy. So we didn't expect that they'd be able to change our tire for awhile, but within about half an hour they did it for us! Their establishment is immaculate and they were so very kind to us and every customer there. One of the sales reps even let us look at their trailers while we were waiting, so definitely going to head back there when we're ready to buy a new fifth wheel. They were a complete Blessing to us and we're so very thankful to God for their help and kindness!! Highly recommend them to everyone!!!

Was there 4 times in 2 weeks. Not one sales person tried to help..was handed a "map" of lot to go view. I'm a heart patient..I can't be walking all over a RV lot. We was set on what was wanted. Just nobody to help!! We will buy elsewhere at this point.
